I think the ignore system is for you to ignore them, not for them to ignore you.

And that is what makes it backwards.

It sounds like what you want is a phase II to the ignore. 'Hide - a feature to use on people you find especially creeptastic.

Yes. Keep the creeps away.

Edited to add: Yes, I say this as my profile picture is of Bjork wearing a shirt that says Enjoy Cock.

"ignore" is not nearly good enough. it is worthless as it is.

i find myself agreeing with whats said above me....why give them a chance to add fuel to the fire...in my experience, when someones ignored, they usually turn childish in response...if they can still read about you, what you have to say.....whats to stop them from using your name elsewhere??

Even though I think this would rock, I don't see it being open to active Suicide Girls.. I mean, to block a member completely would take away his "right" to see the sets to that specific SG..

You know, the $4 gives em mega rights tongue whatever

That's understandable, to a point. it'd be dope if you could block a persons access 2 blogs, comments ect and only let them have access to sets.

This is basically what I was going to say. Maybe if there was a new, less backwards "block" feature all of the sets would remain available to see, but the model's blog/profile/comments/everything but photos would just not show up ..?

I wouldn't mind if there were separate "ignore" and "block" functions. Sometimes I have people on ignore because I absolutely don't care what they have to say, so I can't be arsed to read it. I couldn't care less if they read my stuff.
But sometimes I have people on ignore because they are dicks to me. I honestly don't think they are going to send me a friend request, but I would prefer it they couldn't read anything at all that I wrote, because that just gives them fuel for whatever fire of hatred they already possess.

Or maybe ignore should have both features - ignore + block.

*bump* for real life relevance. Having an issue with someone that isn't severe enough, I'm told, to get her zotted, but I'd really love to be able to click "ignore" and have her unable to see my profile at all and I'd like for this feature to have her disappear from my sight as well, not just be spoilered.

I know it's not the same as a zot, but if you want to use the "flag" feature and describe specific instances of harassment, the moderators can look into any action that we may be able to take.

There were prior issues, then she joined sg, and said shitty things in chat. I don't have screen shots because I blocked her (but she was telling people I don't have blocked shitty things), so I mean .. I don't know what to do about it except cross my fingers that some day SG changes "ignore" to "block".
