I was just wondering, what makes you press the 'not for me' button?
Are there certain set features you can't stand, or do you just press it each time you don't particularly like a set? What features make you choose 'not for me'?
I've only chosen it once, and that was because of the girl's attitude. Perhaps i'm being too nice hehe.

When my opinion is more negative then positive. There are more aspects I don't like then the ones I like, if any.

Usually it is just a crap set - poor lighting, uncomfortable model, etc. Yeah, spammers get the NOT FOR ME fairly quickly as well.

Any set that I think isn't up to standards - lighting, posing, facial expressions, all the regular stuff. OR if the model has a horrible attitude and / or is a spammer. That happens sometimes.
I always explain to staff why I hit not for me, and if the model has potential, I mention that too.

I know that one time I hit not for me (with potential) and the set ended up going live. I don't remember who it was, but hopefully the "has potential" part helped cancel out the not for me. smile

I rarely click "Not For Me." 99 percent of the time, if I don't have anything nice to say, I don't say anything at all. However, I will click "Not For Me" if a major prop in a set is a dead animal or, a living animal being treated cruelly. Taxidermy and "trained" bears warrant clicking "Not For Me," in my opinion. Sorry! whatever

I love to see a large variety of things, so once it was very rare for me to hit the not for me button.

May I'm now blased or more pernickety ? May the quality is getting low ? May the site is going further and further from my tastes ? I'm hitting "not for me" more and more often these days. Mostly if the set is terribly boring, if the photo is a poor quality, or if the girl has a lame attitude.

Top three reasons?

1. The girl has a shitty attitude or spams a lot.
2. The set is far below site standards.
3. This is rare, but if I am somehow offended by the theme/intro/whatever, I'll "Not For Me" it.

I don't consider it my SG civic duty to comment, so I don't make a lot of comments on sets, positive or negative. If a set is just meh, I usually won't take the time to leave a "not for me" comment unless it's sexist or offensive in some way. I also don't "not for me" spammers, though I think it's appropriate to do so.

Basically, I only comment when a set is extraordinary - in a good or a bad way.

+ eleventy billion. If someone or something it being hurt or destroyed by the set, I'm not gonna be too happy about it.

Kind of off-topic but not all taxidermy is cruel or related to hunting, a good taxidermist is someone who wants to preserve and present something beautiful from nature and if the specimen has come to them as a result of a natural death and it is not used in a sexualised way then I think it can be really wonderful. But I do of course understand it is not to everyones taste.

More on topic I think the only sets I have clicked "not for me" on was the one which used live goldfish even though I loved the photography and model and one which used huge pieces of meat because I thought it was unnecessarily cruel to use them as props.

Yes this does make me think maybe I should click 'not for me' more often, I tend to just ignore the boring sets but maybe it's good to make a point of it, maybe it would encourage better sets.

Like Katieesq, I rarely leave feedback one way or the other unless a set is exceptionally good or ridiculously bad. But on the negative side, there is one caveat -- the few that are particularly over-zealous in their quest to be a Suicide Girl render a uniquely pungent stench where "Not for Me" is grossly under-stated.

That pretty much sums up my "system" too.

Also AnnaLee makes an excellent point about taxidermy. I won't stand for animal cruelty or malicious intent, but I don't see anything wrong with someone, say, wanting taxidermy for their beloved pet that lived a full life and died naturally.

Top reasons why I click:

1. Bad attitudes, spam girls, or friend whores, or generally just being really stupid (SG and hopefuls alike). If you've proven yourself to be an asshat you get the "Not for Me."

2. Bad quality set. Photography sucks, model looks awkward, composition is strange and jarring, any of those things.

3. The theme is offensive to me. And it's very very hard to offend me.

4. Girl is genuinely unattractive to me. Sorry ladies, it's my personal taste. But This one hardly ever gets clicked, I usually just move on to the next set.

yeah, it's true that taxidermy isn't neccesarily torture, it may well be a preserved animal that died naturally, so fair play hehe, but I still don't find it appealing, I see it as a little creepy really heh.

These things get a Not For Me: Poor set quality, boring set, fur or meat in a set, the girl doesn't do it for me (completely subjective), sets that look like they belong in Playboy or Hustler or something, those bad orange fake tans (sorry, girls who love the Mystic Tan, I think its gross-looking and you get a Not for Me), bad obvious boob jobs (sorry, again, personal taste, but Not for Me) spammers, attention whores, wishlist-whoring, desperation, and girls who have awful personalities.
