We love all your feedback and hope to revise member review in the future, here are the goals we see for the revision:
1. More sets accepted through Staff review that appear as a surprise on the front page.
2. Fewer sets accepted into member review from hopefuls.
3. Increase the waiting time between member review sets from hopefuls.
4. A way to decrease hopeful and sg spamming. (This will most likely be a new flagging system).
5. Feature sets of the day more prominently and de-emphasize member review sets so having a set chosen as set of the day is more special.
6. Feature SGs more prominently then hopefuls, to create better separation between the two.
Any other goals we should have for our next revision? Are any of these goals not right?
Sounds great, I think 1-4 should be most primary-- #5 and #6 I don't feel as if they are a huge issue. Do you mean increase waiting time between sets of the SAME hopeful in #3? Regardless I think #2 will DECREASE overall waiting time AND up the quality.
I like how everything is explicitly and clearly laid out in bulleted points - it's a great start!
I think this will help everyone a lot, reduce negativity and create a better sense of community.
Thanks staff!
AND thanks to everyone who weighed in, I think it's going to yield some positive results.
I still would like to see some time between models, like it used to be before (was 3 months, right?).
Like it was mentioned on the other topic, we all love to see the popular girls (and they are popular for obviously good reasons) but having sets from the same ladies every time... gets so boring!
I'm all in favor of a flagging system for spam. I also like the idea of more separation between Hopefuls and SG's. More stringent standards for MR might also greatly decrease the number of Hopefuls in the future; with any luck it'll be the ones who don't actually participate in the community and are just looking for another myspace status upgrade that will disappear.

and i know this has been brought up so many times before but i am going to beat a dead horse and say it would be even more awesome if MR was cleaned out. to me, no matter how much you try to spruce it up if there are still sets in there that don*t belong (ex. practice sets from 2003 when the hopefuls group first arrived) it just feels unbalanced to me.
but that is just me and i have been told i am odd.
I think these all sound like great ideas and totally a step in the right direction. Only other suggestion I can think of right now is bring back competitions and theme weeks
And maybe in the future start publishing videos again, videos are popular right now with the YouTube generation and what not.. and um, videos like this made me join this site in the first place. Hot hot hot ^~
I think this sounds great. Between stricter MR standards and more separation between SGs and hopefuls, there will be less of the "myspace" type girls that make non-SG members think that this site has really gone downhill.
Sounds like a plan; all good ideas, really. I like the idea of more surprises due to more sets coming through SR, and making more of a distinction between SGs and hopefuls. I think the latter, combined with being more selective about hopefuls sets that are accepted (the bar on quality really needs to be raised), will help make being a SG as special as it should be. there are many awesome sets on here, but that needs to be built on and increased, and shouted about. oh, and bring back themes!
I am really excited to see this, I have been hoping for staff review to really come back, Im with everyone wanting the themes and contests to come back, Thanks tons staff!
