We're only doing one set a day this week and looking at how that effects traffic and comment counts. It's an experiment we tried once before and may try again in the future. Don't be alarmed, we will go back to two sets a day on weekdays again next week. Also what set that has been in member review for ever would you most like to see on the front page next week?

So I was told this was the thread I should come to with my opinion about set frequency, not that it matters much, but whatever.

Back when I joined the site they put out 3 official sets a day, then it got cut to 2, then 2 per weekday/1 per weekend day, and will now likely end up going 1 per day for good, if not now, soon enough.
I realize there wasn't a MR section back when I joined and that brings more sets to the masses, but the quality goes down. The hottest girl can have a crappy photographer and the set will suck. Yet an exceptional photographer can shoot an average/below average girl and make her look like a million bucks!
And just the other day I saw my first whole set that contained NO nudity! WTF?! I say my first set because I've never seen a non-nude set before, not sure if others exist or not. I realize there is "art" here, but 99% of us are in it for the hot naked women.
On the subject of MR, I think it kind of sucks. One of the reasons I looked forward to visiting the site everyday back in "the old days," was to be surprised by which sets went up. Now with MR, everyone has already seen the sets that go live and it's not that exciting (to me anyway) when a set goes live anymore. Granted, it's exciting for the girls when their sets get bought or they go pink, but to the viewers, it's no big deal.
I will admit, it's still not bad enough for me to not renew my annual membership, but once it goes down to 1 set every other day, which it will eventually, I'm gone.

Well, when I joined the site, back in aught three, there was one new set a day. And we were glad to have it too, not like you kids these days. Of course, back then, a loaf of bread cost a nickel.
I know some people have strong opinions about how many sets a day should go up, but the different changes in frequency have never bothered me. In fact, I have a theory that the staff uses complex computations, running for hours on a supercomputer and based on thousands of input factors, to calculate the optimum number of sets a day to put up.

Another point about MR is that in fact they did not changed that much on this system. They just changed the name from Hopefuls to Member Review, thats all. It is even the same link. http://suicidegirls.com/albums/hopefuls/
And they changed the way to present this section on the front page, which is still in progress and changes often enough.
And because of this name changing the whole site goes down? Come on!
And about frequency, i would prefer two sets per day, one is not enough. More than one set is only too much for people who have no bias and no taste, who like everything as long there are tits and ass. But sorry, i don´t like every SG set, so you have to bring more to keep biased Brokk entertained.

Yeah, I agree with this and I think a lot of people do it, too.
Member review is in it's own little tab section in photos, nobody holds your eyelids open and forces you to look at it. If you want to be surprised then just avoid that section of the site.
Well, obviously you haven't experienced having a set go up the old way, through staff review only, so I don't blame you if you don't understand when I say that for a lot of us it's not at all as exciting to have a set go up in the front page spot if everyone already saw it, as if it's brand new.
This is not meant to be snarky, I just want to explain that not only the members are kinda bummed by the lack of surprise
