I tried giving it a chance, I really did. But I am still not a fan of the page. I don't use it unless I accidentally click on it instead of the Browse Girls button.
Most recent doesn't actually mean most recent, as half of the announcements still fall a few pages behind even if the most recent comment was 5 minutes ago. Some that are commented on stay at the top of the list, while others that are just a active get buried in everything else. Blogs still take several hours to show, though there is the workaround through the Friends Blog page. Ignoring an event still doesn't ignore it, and there are still several blogs/announcements from people that aren't on my friends list.

I miss when it showed the most updated/active groups/threads. It's hard to navigate through groups now.
I don't remember MySG ever doing that. (maybe I need to pay more attention sometimes). I just click on 'groups' near the logo in the top left. It shows them all in order of recent activity.

Nope Dino's right, that's what I used to use the MySG page for. It displayed your groups and their latest five (I think?) updated threads. Now you have to actually go to all the groups to view updated threads.
I don't use the MY SG page any more as I really dislike it, udes to use it all the time before the changes. I use the Group page to keep track of groups and the recent activity bar to keep track of journals, even though it's clunky and slow
