i was just reading so and so's blog and she made reference to the possibility of a boy breaking up with her. some of the comments that followed, from guys, talked about how crazy he would be for doing this and what an amazing person she is. now, i'm sure shes great and all that shit but these comments are from complete strangers. i have seen these sort of comments on many blogs on this site. how does it make you feel to have a complete stranger say what an amazing person you are? do these sort of guys come off as total tools? where is the line between sensitive and creepy? do you ever think to yourselves, 'this guy doesn't even know me. how does he know if i'm amazing or not?'

I guess they are just basing it on the idea of the perfect woman they have created.

You can make people into whoever you want on the internet.

They don't see all of the girl, only parts of the girl that are on SG, and they might be commenting based on that?

I'm not so sure I would've used the specific SG's blog that you're referencing, but little too late for that now.

Now, as far as the droves of men on this site who just assume facts that they have no earthly idea about, it boils down to one thing: saying anything that'll get the attention on them, barring a few that might actually be genuine, or might have either 1) followed past blog entries chronicling the situation, if there are in fact some of those, or 2) have talked with the respective SG either through messages, phone, etc. about the situation, and are more intimately familiar with it.

I'm banking on 98% of them just saying it to come off as nice, when they're really just seeking out the particular SG's attention. Just my opinion though.

Also, this might've been better suited for your blog, and not for the boards.

I think it's safe to assume that if someone posts a blog and leaves it open for more than friends to read and reply then reassuring and comforting thoughts are welcome.
