It would be lovely if we recieved a little note in our email to let us know someone has left a testimonial.

It may sound unimportant, but I know I like to thank people who say random nice things about me.

Thank you!

I posted this once! I still think it might be nice, too, but it's actually fun to find someones given testimony when you didn't know about it.

^ Sure, but I know once I didn't see one for over a month and I was embarrassed. I like to say thank you when people say nice things!

Yeah, I did that once. But it was more like three months. I had no idea people liked me.

*goes to check testimonials*

I think getting emails about blog replies would be better. Sometimes people comment on blogs kinda far back and the comments are never read.

I wouldn't mind that either actually. I just figure while it's here....

I'm actually all more for being able to mass delete emails. Having to go through them one by one is not so fun.

Sigh, such problems (kidding).

I like what you suggested here more, the 'x' amount of people like/dislike this person. It seems like it would form a better function, especially when it comes to people being vouched for groups, etc.

Testimonials are kinda neat but for the most part really useless. You can inflate other peoples egos just fine and dandy through comments

I think its sweet to leave someone a little note saying you like them.
I'm with Jena on the email thingy though, I stupidly never sorted through them when i first joined, so now my inbox is in the 300s but its all crap I cant be bothered to go through and delete.

Problem with that is that it's too easy to abuse. I mean, really, this is SG; we should care how many people like us?

You're probably right. So then, no need at all for testimonials.

No no no. Not what I meant. Testimonials are personal. Or at least they should be. Not at all the same as "4735 members like this person!".
