Nobody from the Staff around to answer our questions from page 1?
give them a chance, they're very busy and do have some time off occaisionally. Also it takes more than one night to address things with a real answer and solution.
I realize staff are working on this and that it needs a moment, I'd just like to add for the record that I also feel adressing these concerns is important.
If the payment continues to be considerably higher in european countries for no apparent reason it will quickly seem as though SG is scamming money, and we all know the troubles that will ensue.
As already offered, we'd be happy to help with the translation, so far a few things sound very dodgy.
If this is designed to help recruite future membersr over here, it will be rather counterproductive if it remains this way alot longer.

The UK option is $62.47 (according to XE.com) this morning vs $47.95; that's 30% more expensive with no option to override to Dollars. That's a big rise. Surely you should have the option to pay in Dollars unless you want to use your local currency?
Also: the UK number listed; "24/7 toll-free number: (+44) 208 81 97 270" is not toll-free; it is national rate.

I think if you buy a gift membership it still stays American Dollars and doesn't try and convert to the higher rate English Pound membership.
a uruguayan fashion designer borrow me the outfit i use for my new set, and borrow me the place(where we took the set) i wanna give to her a member ship for a month but i dont have a credit card...
thanks for the help
I bump this Thread to remind you of the Problems with the Payment and the Translations.
And to tell you, that the Guidelines for posting and bloging on SG are gone. If i´m clicking on the HELP-Button, it leads me to the Site of Local Billing about Membership, Passwords and Payment. But i miss the SG-Guidelines with the swear words.
And on the page with the terms of business in german there are still paragraphs in english.
Thank you for notifying me about the help and offering up translation services. Can you please e-mail me at missy@suicidegirls.com if you can help translate portions that are incorrect. I really appreciate it! You guys are the best!
As far as the exchange rate goes, we do not adjust on a daily basis. The exchange rate was frozen at what it was when the project began, which in some countries is higher than it is today and in some countries is lower. We can not do real time adjustments in order to accommodate for the ever fluctuating exchange rate from a technical or banking standpoint. In order to offer local payment methods we need to pick a fixed price in your country. The payments are processed in your local areas and through local banks and are therefor not tied to the dollar, they are being accounted for as a domestic purchase.
We are going to be looking over all of the exchange rates and sorting out the appropriate price for each country over the next few weeks. As the dollar fluctuates the exchange rate will be a bit different on different days, but the charge will be consistent in your country and will be the same each month.
We would like the price of the site to be of an equal amount in all countries, relative to each countries economy. This will take some time to adjust and perfect. Please bare with us while we arrive at the fair price for your country. Additionally members who charged through their Visa using dollars will be re-billed using dollars as long as they maintain their existing accounts.
As our community becomes more and more international we would like to eliminate barriers to join and make it the easiest experience possible for people from around the world. We are so excited to be able to offer local payment methods that people had been asking about since literally the launch of the site.
This "USD => Euro is 1:1"-thing is a point, i wanted to ask for too. Maybe the staff has a good answer, not at least this was questioned on page 1 of this thread. Missy said, they do not adjust on a daily basis. But 1:1 is not adjusted at all, it seems more like an error.
I asked local billing, who bills me and they told me, that it is usual, that you have to pay for the same offering different charges in different countries. This depends on the local taxes and you just can´t convert with the normal exchange rate without incorporating the taxes.
