SPOILERS! (Click to view)

Firefox (2.0.0.4, running on Win XP SP2) keeps freezing up... seems to be happening regardless of which section of the site I'm on, and lasts up to 30 seconds. Sometimes the whole browser window goes completely blank (white), apart from the title bar.

The last time it happened (while I was writing this!), I managed to minimise Firefox after it froze... but then I couldn't maximise it again, and couldn't do anything at all for about 10 seconds until this box popped up:

I clicked on OK, and Firefox unfroze and I could maximise it.

This sounds like a problem on your end, but I could be wrong.

I don't know... all this has started since the site changes last night, and updating to Firefox 2.0.0.4 hasn't made any difference. I've done virus scans, spyware scans... hell, I've even defragged!

Sometimes when I'm responding to or editing posts (be it in groups, journal entries or boards) the post has the little firefox circle doing the loading thing, but it takes forever or maybe it just stalls out, however when I hit refresh the post appears as it should (i.e. what my reply was, or what I included in the edit).

me too, same as above.

Also, it's not remembering the content you want to open each time, I still have to click to open it every time I go to the page.

Same here. But I seem to be more impatient, because occasionally when I hit refresh, the post is not yet there. wink

I had some profiles bookmarked to read their blog. This new version of SG got rid of the "all" button to read friends profiles and bookmarked profiles. How do I check out their blogs without going through every one of the blog individually?

I had that problem with Firefox 1.5, and it got fixed when I upgraded to the current version 2.0. If that's not the same as your problem, go post it in the bugs thread along with your browser and OS! smile

I just upgraded to Firefox 2.0 and it's still not saving the changes. Windows 2000.

...Also, the buttons to view the next set of groups don't always work for me. The right arrow gets disabled randomly, sometimes it does on the 2nd page, sometimes the 3rd page, sometimes it allows me to get to the last page of groups. I have to keep going back and forth to view older groups. Don't know if this is the same for the other sections, this is the section I noticed it on.

Mac OS 10.4.8 Safari 2.0.4

It's still a little clunky, but it should be a little better now. We'll hopefully have a better fix early next week.

Before this "update" I could click on the MY SG button and scroll through pages of the latest blogs of my friends and bookmarks. Now I can view only 5 friends, 0 bookmarks.
.

Can you post your browser version and operating system? It should actually work better now because the method for paging was improved, so if it's not paging, that's a problem.

I'll see if we can get the bookmarked members' blogs included in there too.

IE7; XP

Thanks. It's a little better, although you're right, it is still a bit clunky (on the first page of my groups, although the left arrow is disabled, a rollover will reenable it). It still seems to cut out the right arrow occasionally, although not as consistently as before. Looking forward to the fix early next week.

It's working for me for everything except Friend's Threads. When I click to display them I get a message stating that they are "loading," then that goes away but the threads are not displayed. I'm on Windows XP SP2 and the latest Firefox browser.

I'm still not able to view my friend's threads. It just looks like this:

It was doing that for me, but now nothing at all is happening when I click on 'bookmark' in a group thread. And I think some of the threads that I did have bookmarked have un-bookmarked themselves. And Firefox is freezing when I open MySG in one of the Firefox tabs. Firefox 2.0.0.4, WinXP SP2.

Okay, I'm a little perplexed. I'm using the same browser, and the same OS, and it works for me. The fix should cause your browser to automatically pull the updated code, but if it's still not working for you, you may want to refresh your cache. Let me know if that works.
