Browser/OS? All pages or just one? Can u possibly post a screen capture?
All Pages. Firefox. Windows Vista.
Have you modified your fonts or increased your font size/zoomed in? It looks like it is wrapping the first line of navigation, pushing all of the second line down too low for you to see it. We may be able to change the CSS to disallow wrapping, but this is likely being caused by something strange with your font being a bit too wide for some reason.

I can't log in to sync my calendar using iCal, via the link provided on this page. This worked for years, but it may have broken anytime within the last few months. The last event I was able to sync like this was in late January, but I haven't been terribly active for awhile so I didn't notice it breaking.
I've used it in the past by putting "bean@" in front of the domain in the URL (so it would prompt for my password). Now I enter my password and it is rejected. I tried omitting the username and logging in with Safari, hoping it would use Safari's cookies to authorize the connection, but that didn't work either.
I realize this may be something that got forgotten about somewhere along the way, but it's a handy feature for those of us who are active in the community and go to events.
Incidentally, I can still sync my friends' birthdays and public events via iCal. It's just the personal event calendar that doesn't work.

Anything to the right of a less than sign is ignored in a mail message.
Yeah, don't use those -- they trigger filtering that will truncate your message.
It's still a bug. You can use them in comments, why can't you use them in messages? There are plenty of occasions where one might want to use one in a message.
i cant add my postal code though i cant change anything. and sorry for not reading that, i started from page 1-35 or something haha, so i acknowledge that being my bad!

i have no idea if this was mentioned on this particular topic in this board before... it's rather hard to read 150 pages
i emailed in a help question 2 times and both time was the same answer which did not fix my problem...
i am not able to update any of my photos or profile info. also, it tells me i have journal comments, when i actually don't ...they only clear once i have posted a new blog... but the more important topic would obviously be not able to update my info.
can someone help me? it would be very much appreciated
thank you, sg team !!!
It was mentioned a page or two back that updating your profile sometimes works better if you have your zip code in your profile. I know you Canadians don't have zip codes, but you have postal codes, which are kind of the same thing, so I'd say try that, it's worth a shot.
The journal comment counter works differently than the private message counter. For journal comments, it shows the number of comments on your latest journal entry, whether you've read them or not. That's why it resets to zero when you create a new journal entry.

Thank you. I don't know why it started doing that, since I've been zooming in for a while, but it's fixed.

Not sure I completely agree with using "bug" for intentional behavior, even if it's not consistently applied, but that's largely an argument of semantics. Point is, I did not intend to imply that I feel this is something that shouldn't be changed at some point.

You must enter a space in your postal code (A1A 1A1).
I would strongly advise everyone to use the site search (at the top of the page, just below the main navigation):
when looking to see if your problem has already been addressed. For instance, searching for "canadian postal code" takes you right to the post addressing this. Could save you some time and anguish
That tag, however, is not listed under TAGS for "Pretty in Pink" (because I deleted it). When I search for that tag, my "Pretty in Pink" set still shows up.
When I go to the main page, I get a message at the top of the screen saying "Additional plugins are required to display all the media on this page." There's a button that says "Install missing plugins". When I click the button, I get a window titled Plugin Finder Service that says "No suitable plugins were found". So it seems that Firefox is getting confused about something. I upgraded to Firefox 3.5 recently and this wasn't happening before that. I got the message a few times in the last few days or so, but today it seems to be happening whenever I go to the main page, and only the main page. This is with Windows XP.

For whatever reason, it's not happening right now, but it was doing it consistently a few hours ago.
When I use Google Chrome for my browser, I have trouble posting new blogs or adding topics in groups. I click "add topic" or "add blog" and the page refreshes with a blank slate, erasing everything I just typed. The other day it took me 5 or 6 tries to get the blog to post, and just now when I tried to add a group topic, I gave up after 3 tries. I switched to Firefox and it worked fine.
I don't know if there's anything that can actually be done on SG's end, but it's annoying to have to switch browsers.
Edit: as I typed this in Chrome, I was logged out of the site and couldn't log back in. I think I'll just stop using Chrome because it apparently is a pain in the ass.

It was likely something in one of the blogs on the front page that has pushed off of the front page.

I can never, ever get my album covers to change.
Clear your cache after you change the cover -- it's probably changed but you just aren't seeing the change because your browser has cached the old one. Otherwise, you'll need to provide details on the problem and what browser and OS you are using.

I'm pretty sure it's been said in this thread that they won't be supporting chrome.

Surprisingly that was the first problem I'd had with Chrome & SG.
But very few sites support Chrome, so I won't be using it anymore.

We didn't support it when it was beta. We don't support pre-release browsers. Now that it is release, we do try to support it.

I must be dumb, but I can't find anywhere a link to add fave pics in my profile. My fave pics section has an edit button, but nothing happens when clicked, except from the button switching to "cancel".
