Hello! We are sorry some of you are not excited about the new profile pages, but this is an intermediate step to allow you to customize the "main" tab of the profile page. The purpose was to remove the profile strip from below the tabs and put it above the tab. THis is important for our future customization.

We are not going to change anything about the "main" tab at this time, as we are preparing to allow you to customize it yourself, but all profile type information will now live up in the top section above the main profile tabs.

We have listened to your feedback and will change the top part of the profile section sometime next week to hopefully incorporate some of your requests.

Thank you all so much for all your enthusiastic feedback, and keep it coming in the other two threads, the more the better, staff doesn't consider it bitching but valuable feedback we intend to use!

We love to see our members passionate about our site and consider ourselves blessed to not have to pay focus groups and get all this info for free.

Sweet, so most of the stuff that is being discussed won't even be an issue soon because we'll be able to change it?

Okay... I'm kind of interested to see how the customization works as I think that could solve a lot of the complaints that people are bringing up. The only question I have is why the profiles were changed before this was implimented. It seems like it was tossed up half finished. And what portions of the profile will be customizable?

I can't wait to see customisation, I'm currently very dissatisfied. Ha. Can we remove the SEX tab? Will there still be Testimonials, Comments and Groups along the side or can we customise that as well? I hope we can, I do not particularly approve of the choices of display features there.

I would rather use up that real estate to introduce people to my favourite music, my passions in life, and my favourite links (for example) instead of what people on the internet think of me and the assortment of private groups that they can't read that I belong to, plus a list of my most recent comments in private groups that, again, they can't read.

Indeed.

And I'll say again I really hope that part of the change is changing the "sex" tab to something else.
