I don't completely understand the decision making proces that goes on behind the scenes regarding model selection, but do I, as a member, have any leverage in the situation, i.e., recommending anyone?

Just have her fill out the MODEL page at the top. I think they accept 98% of the people who apply there. The photosets is where people get stuck.

You don't even know when to use an apostrophe, what makes you think you are qualified to pick out models?

I mean, sure, if a girl applied and you really liked her, you could mention that somewhere, but I'm sure staff gets plenty of emails "recommending" girls and doesn't really have time to shift through all of them.

I really think that the last thing that staff needs are all the hopefuls' friends emailing them with reasons why THEIR friend/loved one should be an SG. I'm sure that we all have lots of folks waiting and hoping for us to go pink, but harrassing the staff would be counterproductive. (No matter how badly we all really really want to, right?)

Nein. "SG's" is the abbreviated and contracted form of "Suicide Girls'," "Suicide Girl's," or "SuicideGirls's" (e.g. the company, not any singular SG). None of the meanings denotes the Plural without the possessive.
So, SGs is correct.

As an answer to your question: of course you have leverage.
Everyone loves being showcased and promoted if they are trying to attain such an immortal status that being an SG gives you imo. I often advise my friend Aleda on job opportunities and with helping her to meet other SGs. That's what we members have as a role, should we chose to do it: advising.

You should tell the girl to post badly done pictures all over various groups to attract a following of creepy members, then submit a set. When that set is rejected the lady in question should then whine about it and encourage her loyal army of creeptards to harrass staff members until they submit. Yes. This sounds like an appropriate plan of action.

Put one foot in front of the other
And soon you'll be walking cross the floor
Put one foot in front of the other
And soon you'll be walking out the door

You never will get where you're going
If you never get up on your feet
Come on, there's a good tail wind blowing
A fast walking man is hard to beat

Put one foot in front of the other
And soon you'll be walking cross the floor
Put one foot in front of the other
And soon you'll be walking out the door

If you want to change your direction
If your time of life is at hand
Well don't be the rule be the exception
A good way to start is to stand

Put one foot in front of the other
And soon you'll be walking cross the floor
Put one foot in front of the other
And soon you'll be walking out the door

If I want to change the reflection
I see in the mirror each morn
You mean that it's just my election
To vote for a chance to be reborn

Put one foot in front of the other
And soon you'll be walking cross the floor
Put one foot in front of the other
And soon you'll be walking out the door

In the SG Hopeful's group, there is a post from Sean in the "Read before posting' thread where he says that forum is the place to let them know if you think they made a wrong decision in rejecting a girl, and that he does welcome that feedback.

Given that there are sooo many girls applying every day though,I just don't know if he'd have time to read all the emails!!

You forgot to add that they need to throw a hissy fit, storm off and badmouth the entire SG operation when their first set isn't instantly accepted and posted that day.
