"future bag lady" is what i get. or the "bird lady" which is even worse.

I would guess many members feel like aliens posting because the boards seem sort of like an invite only club. If you don't have an invite it just feels like you are looking in at the party through a window if that makes any sense. The invitation itself is thousand of thoughtful, funny and grammatically correct posts that most people just can't find the time or energy for.

I thought it started slowing down about a year ago. Although if I were to look at it honestly it might just be fewer people I know posting.

And I am pretty sure someone said something similar right about the time I joined. I think it is all just a matter of perspective.
