This is a safe place to identify yourself as a banned tagger. There are already threads about what people think of the banning system, so no debating pretty please! This is meant mostly as a roll call so we can help each other through this tough time... and celebrate when we are able to tag once more.

I'll go first.

I'm sawahbean, and I have been banned since mid-October, I think around the time the ban was introduced. I love tagging and I am looking forward to January.

22.3 What are examples of bad tags?

Tags like "naked", "eyes", and "ass" are applicable to every single photoset on the site and don't help. Don't just tag "feet," say something about the feet in question, if they're so remarkable that they're noteworthy. Likewise, you don't need to point out that a girl is "beautiful" or "hot." It's pretty much a given that someone is going to think that about every girl on the site, and your opinion doesn't make it a good tag.

Full sentences are unnecessary, as is punctuation. Obviously anything insulting will not be tolerated. Tags like these are deleted, and getting several tags deleted (for whatever reason) will get you banned from tagging.

Tags are not the place for inside jokes or things that only make sense to you.

The tags section on a set is not the Silliness board. Specially-trained teams of anal-retentive tag nazis who hate fun and have no sense of humor (they have day jobs in accounting) will delete "bad" tags regardless of how funny they are.

22.4 Why have I been banned from tagging?

If you've had multiple tags deleted you will be banned from tagging for 3 months. Tags are deleted for a number of reasons. If they're bad tags (see above), or offensive, or horribly misspelled or poorly-formatted, tags will get the axe. Read the section above about good tags to keep this from happening again.




Man, I wish everyone would somehow be required to read those FAQs before they were allowed to tag.

I got banned from tagging for simply putting the photographers name in the tag. I guess that is pretty offensive.

Look people, nobody can see why they were banned right at the moment so it's silly to say "so and so was banned for X," because it might so happen that they don't remember getting drunk and posting "GIRAFFFE!!!!" on a bunch of sets.

That's pretty funny, the system should prrrobably take into account deleting your own tags. Though I imagine it's rare when an SG deletes enough tags off of her own set to get banned.
