I don't like the wishlist thing either, it's creepy and weird, and I don't want to feel like I owe anyone anything. The only time it would ever be convenient is if I were doing a gift exchange through the site.
I wanted to buy a member something once for her birthday, but all of her stuff was part of Amazon's Universal Wish List function so I would have had to have her address and all that stuff. I could have just asked her, but I am evil and find surprises much better. Oh well.
Anyway I agree on including your username or something so when you recieve a gift you can poke fun at the person who sent it.
