I'm thinkin that it either gets deleted or perhaps only the owner of the account can see it. *shrugs* Not sure though. I know that I can see my purhchased section.

If the item was purchased, it will be deleted from the list. There is also a little tab (if you're looking at an amazon wishlist) that allows you to see the items purchased. It's good stuff.

Some kind guy bought me a couple of gifts (bear in mind I've only had three off my wishlist ever) a few months ago. Unfortunately amazon FUCKING SUCK, and apparently when you update your address in your main amazon account, it doesn't change it for you in your wishlist.
Therefore the two gifts, bought to cheer me up, were sent to my old address- and I can't collect them

I had the same problem but I bitched to Amazon. They said the packages came back as "undeliverable" and they refunded the patrons money. You just have to yell at them.
