why are you "private" ?

i'm private now because i wasn't before. i like change.

that's it exactly. all my friends know I suck, but I don't need them to be able to quantify it.

I mostly just want to see the "last online" glitch happen with my own jawn- people who clearly were on the site recently, posting journal entries and comments in thread, groups, etc., whose "last online" thing says they haven't logged in for a month.

But it never works out. Like trying to open the refrigerator door before the light turns on.

Cause I'm on here to talk to friends and being private I don't know............actually I'm just lazy and it's much work to click a damn button.

I'm not private cos it's good to remind myself that I'm "online" & there is more than just SG on the internet, though it's hard to imagine sometimes

Just because I can and can change it at anytime.

Same reason no one can request my friendship. Same reason I only have 22 friends after 19 years of being on SG.

Sometimes I have just enough energy to read boards/groups/journals, but not quite enough energy to actually think enough about them to form a coherent response. And I don't want it to look like I'm ignoring people.
