Confused about this site

I've been here a while, I've looked around, I've seen pictures, and seen people say things. But I'm still lost. What is the point of this site, and why does it exist? Anyone?

First, top quality username for a question like this. You are fulfilling the role of a confused member extremely well, as befits your moniker.

Since my username is adjunct, I'll attempt to explain it without having the responsibility of running the site, nor the benefits of all the cash it makes, as befits my moniker. This site was initially created to display beautiful women without clothes on, then the membership grew into a community that has become almost self-sustaining. So, naked girls and chat.

But where did the term "suicide girls" come from. What's with the "suicide"?

I guess it's just poetic licence, relating ironically to the fact that the 'girls' are mostly of a goth and punk persuasion. Tongue-in-cheek, non?

I have also heard that a model getting tattoos and piercings is committing "career suicide". And the term "suicide girls" was also used in a book called Survivor by Chuck Palahniuk, I think. I believe Missy mentions that book in the Suicide Girls book.

I took a one month membership a couple of years ago just out of curiosity. Then I just took another this month as I was interested in the videos which I don't remember there being when I was here last. I don't think I've been here between those times...maybe once...not sure.
