Look dude, it may suck that the staff is censoring photos based on a ruling that may or may not get them in trouble but at the same time they have an insanely popular webiste that will be become target number one (if it isn't already) of those idiots out there trying to get porn rubbed out. Personally I think it sucks too but look at the point of view of the staff. If someone manages to get a court ruling that allows them to shut down a website based on images that they don't like then they're going to start lining up websites and shooting them down. The lawyers aren't going to start with the tiny, no-name sites that have fifty or so members they're going to go after websites like this one that garner a lot of attention, have a shit ton of members and the most to loose. The "best catch" so to speak kind of like how fisherman want the five pound bass instead of the one pounder. The only real way SG has of defending itself at the moment (short of hiring a team of lawyers and marching into the supreme court) is to try and bend to rules so that when the hammer falls it won't strike them. If it helps any think of it as "playing by their rules to keep them from shutting us down which is what they really want anyway." Sure they could stand up for themselves by thumbing their nose at ol what's his name and showing the images anyway but let's face facts, that would be a costly battle that could be won simply with resources. The government would simply have to stall the trial long enough to bankrupt the sight and suddenly it's off the air giving them exactly what they want. This way, we miss out on a few photos but still get to enjoy the site and those fucks can't touch it because of the rules they set down turning their own tactic against them.
