It'd be good if the once mentioned standalone version of the chat turned up.

Deal with it...or just don't use chat...simple. You don't get everything you want in life.

Or tell the staff what you like and don't like so that they have the opportunity to attempt to make things more like you want. Squeaky wheel often is the one that gets the grease. Provided something's doable.

If nobody groused about the picture viewer's issues, would it have been fixed as quickly as it was?

If the ad refresh is stealing focus for you, please post which browser you're using, and we'll try to get that fixed. (Firefox on PC, or IE6 on PC, or Safari on Mac, etc)

Isn't going to last on SG long if he keeps starting pointless topics.

Userplane's tiered packages are not cheap. Since I have seen more than 50 people in SG Chat at any one time, I have to assume that they're paying for at least the 100 simultaneous user connection package, which is $750 per month (w/ 100GB max transfer). That's almost $1,000 per month to support a fuckin' chat room! No matter how much SG.com pulls in per month, that's still a lot of clams. I'm not taking into account the amount of web cam usage going on that could potentially (though it's a bit of a stretch) exceed 100GB a month, forcing them to spend even more.

I hope they get a bulk rate smile

IE6 win2ksp4 and I'm not having the focus stealing problem.

I am having the problem with it taking up entirely too much screen real estate though. biggrin I don't care if there are ads, only that the placing of them is extremely inconvenient because I like to have another browser window with the threads or whatever on top of the chat window while being able to see the cams and the last few lines of chat. In order to see it all I need to have the browser containing the threads mighty small. Other than that I couldn't care less about the ads, especially if they're helping the site. However if they're gonna be there, it would be nice if they had something to do with the users of SG like the ads found elsewhere on the site. Honestly I couldn't care less about getting out of debt, consolidating my lending rates, cheap CDs with free shipping, or a fantastic new NutriSystem diet program that takes the work out of weight loss. biggrin

I'm guessing that this means the ads aren't going away. frown
