This was probably brought up, but no topics readily indicate it, so here goes: What's with the "send to staff" thing if you don't like a set? What's that all about?

I was wondering if it was a way to give people who insist on making negative comments a way to do so without them appearing on the boards.

Makes sense. I've seen it argued to death about the decorum regarding set comments so I won't venture an opinion.

so, how viscious can we get about it? If nobody's going to see it but the staff, is it alright if we vent about other things? anyways, who really is staff? can staff be hurt? is staff a robot?

I was wondering if someone was actually going to be reading the negative comments. Like, say a certain set gets a lot of the same complaints, will they avoid putting up another set with that same element in it. Or is it simply a way to say negative things without hurting anyone's feelings? Personally, I have the willpower to simply not comment on things I don't like but I guess not everyone does. To each their own as far as what one likes and dislikes. It is interesting though that voicing negativity is now an option.

i thought it was a way for the staff to get an idea of what sort of things we all like and dislike so they are able to better select SG's who will be successful and help improve the overall quality of the site.

P.S. i gotta say, i really love the changes that have been made and the direction things have gone in. This is such a fantastic site. I find that i'm really proud to say that i'm a member.

I think that would be a great idea if it wasn't assumed that every comment sent directly to the staff was a negative one. The black and white of the whole thing seems counterproductive to me.

That's mainly because people slick the "I loved it button" to get rid of the box.

I can see this feature becoming very annoying.

I hate being forced to either make a comment or close the window. Its like spam. If i want to leave a comment I will do it myself without the site prompting me.

It is already annoying.......

You can turn off the commenting "popup" in your account settings.
