Many times I see lots of one or two word comments like "Nice" "Cute" or "Very Beautiful" on sets and I was just wondering how the SGs and Hopefuls feel about these. Honestly. I know you girls love receiving comments but aren't these a little stale? Doesn't it suck when you have hundreds of comments but they all same pretty much the same thing? I often really like a set and want to say something original but I can't think of anything and I don't want to repeat the same phrases as everyone else. I do admit to giving in, though, just because it's better to say something than nothing. What do you all think?

P.S. I saw another thread somewhat like this from 2004 but it really didn't address what I was looking for.

Any comment other than just clicking "I loved it" is great. I personally am not super picky about comments they all are good. I do love well thought out comments, but if you write me a cheesy novel of a comment I'll probably laugh at it. I prefer specifics the most. "I loved #_, the pose/face/closeup/whatever is amazing."

But again. Anything other than clicking "I loved it" is awesome.

I agree anything is more fun then "i love it". I one-word comment all the time. smile

Every comment is appreciated, even if it's small. smile

When I comment on sets that I really love, especially in MR, I try and make my comments a little bit longer, because I know that helps more.

I have no problem with them, I prefer them to "I loved it" too. But of course, the more precise and elaborated the comment is, the more I love them smile

I will take a one word "real" comment over an "I loved it" any day, but I'm not going to turn down "I loved it" clicks either. I'll take them all.

Seriously, you don't have to be witty or original in your comments. If you liked something, tell me what you liked. smile

Exactly, unless it's something mean or excessively pervy.

Right. smile

I know I read and appreciate all the written comments I get, and when looking at sets I try to leave longer comments. But sometimes your brain is just blank -- or too blown away -- and all you can muster is "hot!" wink

it doesnt bother me if its a one word comment or not. as long as they liked the set, they can express in whatever words they feel to say how they liked it smile

I'm guilty of this myself, even when I know that the quality of the comments helps a set's chances in MR.

Everything is appreciated, even if longer comments help in MR, you can't expect everyone to write a little essay. Just knowing they liked it is enough smile

I believe comments aren't exactly the most important thing for staff, but they are the most important thing to me. It's meant to be feedback, right?
Therefore, I appreciate every comment, I like being told I'm cute, hot, beautiful, or whatever else like that, they make me feel good smile. But obviously, I prefer way a lot more, comments that actually say something else than a compliment.
What I'm saying is that the one word comments aren't a problem, and make most girls in this site happy smile.

I had no idea the quality of the comments made any difference. That's interesting

i think all comments are good, even if someone clicks i loved it and doesn't bother to leave a real comment i like it. i like all. i try to comment on sets, but it's hard for me ( because of the language barrier) to express myself, so most of the times i leave really short comments, just to show some love to the girl/photographer. i doubt there's a problem with that, yes it would be better if i could write and essay everytime i like a set but that's just impossible

Staff feels that more detailed comments mean you like the set a whole lot more than if you just said "good job". Telling them what you like and why also helps them get a sense of what the membership likes to see.

I hate reading about how some girls don't like it when people hit "I loved it", it makes me want to hit "Not for me" on all their new sets frown

I use to comment a lot of sets. Howver I try not to spend my entire life on here. So, if a set is oustanding, I do my best to do an elaborate comment. But sometimes I just enjoy a set without being bouncing everywhere about it, so may I'll just write a quick "cute" or "nice one".
