Hi guys! I just got back from the States and I have a questions:

Why do your 'news' channels try desperately to make every piece of news look like the trailer for an action movie??? They even have Scary Voice-Over Dude doing the narration ("In a World of Terror, America Stands True, etc puke etc puke etc puke")

Oh, my favorite part about CNN is how they forego the news in order to spotlight weird country singers... "In other news, the world is going to hell in a handbasket ... but first! Spend some time with Corky McRussell as he cuts his next CD, 'Heartland Heartbreak.'"

I'm sure we can do a swap - you for any one of the SGUK types who want to quit these islands wink

US news channels can be hysterical, but have you seen it when Sky or BBC News 24 in the UK try to copy them? You'll be crying tears of laughter when you do. Anyone familiar with The Day Today?

Haven't seen that "you can get CNN in these quality hotels" thing in ages. Have they dropped it?

One reason: CNN uses military propagandists in the newsroom.
