I'm lost
January 2008

I searched and didn't see anything so I thought I would share!

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. - A serial killer who died more than a decade ago is the person who decapitated the 6-year-old son of "America's Most Wanted" host John Walsh in 1981, police in Florida said Tuesday. The announcement brought to a close a case that has vexed the Walsh family for more than two decades, launched the television show about the nation's most notorious criminals and inspired changes in how authorities search for missing children.

here is the whole story...

As someone who has looked up to John Walsh for many years, I am happy that there is finally some real closure for him and his family. The fact that he turned such a horrible personal tragedy, and turned it into inspiration to do so much for other families is inspiring.

This event had a huge impact on me as I was just a little kid growing up in Florida at the time. I remember my parents talking about it way back in 1981 though I was only 3. It was explained to me that unless I wanted my head off I wouldn't stray too far from my parents in places like Toys R Us. Fucking a right.

I'm glad there is closure for the Walsh family.

I watched the tv movie called Adam with my parents about a year after it happened. It was a strong lesson for me and my brother to avoid strangers and stary close to my mom and dad when we were out.

For the last 11 years I have worked with kids, many of them exploited and abused, and in that time I really became aware of how much John Wash had done for different groups to protect kids.

I'm kind of surprised it took this long for it to be " official " . Toole had been the main suspect for as long as I'd read about the case . FYI , he also used to hang with Henry Lee Lucas about the time of this murder . Lucas is " supposedly " * one of the worst serial killers in the history of the states .
* I say supposedly because they changed their story so many times that it's hard to say for sure just how many either of them killed .

I actually teared up a bit when I heard of this. I'm glad the Walsh family has this closure.

I'm pretty sure the Walsh family felt the same way.

Such a nightmare for the family all of these years. I'm glad they have this answer.

People who hurt children deserve a really special hell. skull
