it's fun comparing this polls to his approval polls from right after 9/11.
(in case you're wondering, his approval rating in september 2001 was 90%)

Respondents also disagreed widely on who is to blame for the problems in the city following the hurricane -- 13 percent said Bush, 18 percent said federal agencies, 25 percent blamed state or local officials and 38 percent said no one is to blame. And 63 percent said they do not believe anyone at federal agencies responsible for handling emergencies should be fired as a result.

In recent days, 62 percent said they believe progress made in dealing with the situation is satisfactory.

On this yahoo news thing today I saw that the U.S is going to give $2,000 dollars to each of the familys, now I ask you what exactly is $2,000 going to do?, it's not going to go far at all.

This is an emergency debit card that they give out so those people have money for food, gas, clothes, ect. $2000 is enough to start to get a job, an apartment, hell a car (I paid much less for mine). This is not the total aid that will be given it's just something given out to help untill things settle down. And damn it it happened pretty quick to. We are talking 1 million people you know.

these negative polls need to translate to anti-republicanism...otherwise it doesn't make a lick of difference.

Unless there is an absolute miracle in 2006, and we get enough congressman that will impeach Bush....we need to concentrate on winning future elections....not just spouting hate for a man probably ain't going anywhere until 2008...

Wouldn't have been easier for the federal money earmarked for storm gate construction to have actually been used to construct those storm gates instead of funeling it into the Iraq war? So much of the devistation and desperation of the situation could have been aleviated if that construction had gone ahead. But maybe I'm just kooky for thinking that way.

Honestly, how can you support Bush after all the damage his administration has done to our country? Please explain it to me, because I really don't get it.

There is nothing to explain. People really are that misinformed and ignorant. It's disgusting...and it's tragic...and it's the way people have always been.

And that has what to do with emergency money dispersals to storm victims? You do relize that no matter how much money was given NO would still be under water? That any improvment to the levee system would be a 20 year project. That there is no evidence that the cuts made any difference at all? Leaving out Iraq (a whole nother kettle of fish) I don't see the damage you think is so plain. I'm not saying that the responce to Katrina was good but I don't believe you can show that it would of been better with Kerry. I know someone will make some comment about how "How can you not see" but I can't think of any major differences.
