It is Time...

It is time to see what nations step forward and offer real assistance to the US. Whether we actually need it or not I do not know nor is that the point. We have given so much to other countries over the past 100 years or so - Mid east, Europe and Asia - so many nations take - now is the time to see who has nads and wants to give. So far, I heard that only the German Red Cross said they would do anything to help.

I would not start the holding of the breath.

And so has Canada

hugo chavez offered us help 2 days ago (even after pat robertson called for his assination).

That we do. I don't doubt that we'll receive aid from many countries. Some in the form of volunteer workers, some because our allies wish to help us, or repay debts and others just for political reasons. Whatever the reason they help, though, it really is much needed, and will be apreciated. It may be a good week until we see the extent of the countries that will be willing to help us, but individual and group volunteer workers will most likely be flowing into the country for a while. They'll probably have a bitch of a time with homeland security as they attempt to come in, though. I'm not saying that's a bad thing. Just saying.
