Oh come on, Keith. It's not a right-wing meme, it's a statistic.

Oh come on, Mikey. I think that your average person would say that it is a statistic if you say the number--a number which you certainly knew. But of course that is the one-two punch of the right wing meme machine "plausible deniability"

Also, I think you are supposed to say something about "conspiracy" here. Consult the handbook.

How about we all try to work together for EVERYONE's interests?

We have the power to basically do anything that we want. Our Supercarrier battlefleets could quickly establish complete and total naval superiority over the world if we felt like it.

I think it's about time you got off your hyper-powered horse.
I dont even know why your saying this. It has nothing to do with the Iraqi elections. Are you trying to say, for the sake of "we're better then everyone else", that the US Navy, if it wanted, could take out the Bristish, French, German, Spanish, Itialian, Russian, Australian, Japanese Navy?! Do you think that's possible with your "supercarrier battlefleets"?
America hasnt had to go to war against a well equipped, trained and disciplined military in decades. And even now they're not exactly winning against terrorists who are none of the above. What on earth makes you think America could militarily dominate the world?! This is the sort of thing you would hear from kids going "My dads better then yours for 'x' reason.

Yet we don't.

Because a war against the world's a bit tuffer then Iraqi insurgents. Never mind the fact that the world economy would crumble. Remember:,
"Whose interest should we act in, if we shouldn't act for our own interests?"

Listen, I hate going on about your army could and could not do X, Y, & Z, But your comments are completly rational and full of bs.

wow, we're a hyperpower now? how do we get upgraded to ultrapower and megapower?

i've seen a hack online where you can do it, but apparently you've got to be *very* careful or you can fuck up your entire midwestern region.

anyway, there are four large torque screws just under the soil in NE, CO, OK, and MO. if you loosen them and stick in a thin screwdriver, you can apparently lift kansas out fairly easily.

once kansas is out, you'll see four jumpers, roughly under where topeka had been. change #2 and #4 to MP/ON, put everything back, and you're done.

ymmv.

i can send photos of each step if you're interested.

Back on topic: it seems bizzare to me that the US has essentially turned Iraq into a muslim fundamentalism, pretty much like afghanistan was but with some kind of democracy, and are extremely pleased with this. Its great if its what the iraqi people wanted, but surely this new, religiously politicised state is almost as frightening as the old isolated dictatorship?

And off topic: i suggest attempting lower grade hacks such as this one before attempting anything as hardcore as the above suggestions...

Well, whatever I said on other posts about the election, Michael, I rescind. The election can only be a good thing. Lets just hope more violence doesn't come out of the changeover, and the party appointments to President, Prime Minister, and Parliament.

Anyway, thanks for the story. I respect your well researched opinions, even if I don't agree with them.

And, I'm not sure if you are military, but if you are; thank you for what you are doing. I may not agree with our administration, but I will always hold a deep respect for our young soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines.

peace be with you.

let us just hope it doesn't become another extremely anti-west shi'ite theocracy allied with Iran and Khoemani (is he still alive?)
