The only reason we have social security is because FDR packed the Supreme Court with his flunkies who somehow determined it's the government's constitutional responsibility to give you a pension.

Someone hinted at it earlier, but the "pursuit of happiness" and our right to "life" is dependant on a basic standard of health for all.
"life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" is in the declaration of independence, not the constitution, so it really can't be used to make a constitutional argument.
