According to Moore's Law I'll have a 1 terabyte SD card in my PocketPC in 15 years. Freakish. Even Microsoft can't bloat their Office package fast enough to keep up with storage anymore...

I heard about this blue laser tech stuff around xmas. It's why I didn't buy a cheap red laser DVD recorder. Interesting.

It's not that simple. Yes, Blu-Ray and HD-DVD do use blue laser technology but the first player out on the market will be a $1000 toshiba HD-DVD player debuting before this christmas. A blue laser burner won't theoretically hit the market for a couple years (at least not one that's any good).

Oh, that and there still are more formats, anyone else heard of Mini-DVD?

Also, I could get into a long drawn out technical explanation but I believe that HD-DVD will win the format wars until a dual player comes out on the market.
