You wanna know why McNabb looked so bad against the Pats? The same reason every QB in the league looks so bad against them. Because while Pittsburgh has the better overall defense, the pats have the defense that is the most deceptive. More fake blitzes, hidden blitzes, masked coverage, etc. than anyone else uses. You have Harrison in the secondary watching McNabb's eyes, and seeing as how he stares his target down from the snap to throw the secondary gets a great jump to the ball because they all know where its going. Compare that to Brady who looks one way and then in the middle of his throw will look away to his actual target on the other side of the field.
If that makes McNabb stupid then it makes Manning stupid too, because that's the same thing that gets done to him each year. The pats defense is probably the smartest in the league, and reads plays and reacts to them so much better than anyone else. And does more to get in the head of the opposing QBs to keep him from getting any kind of rhythym. Thus the genius of Romeo Crenel (sp?).
But yes, that last 5 minutes of play by the Eagles was the worst hurry up offense I have ever seen in my life.

I agree with this to a point, but McNabb has a bad habit of letting nerves mess up his mechanics making him throw off target. You could notice in the beginning he was lobbing balls and wa overthrowing recievers, then late in the game he started throwing at the ground.

The main thing is if you rely on one person to win a game, you are going to lose way more often than you win, especially against a team like the patriots. The eagles had no running game, and no real screen passes either. The patriots defense is too good to allow most recievers to get any real yardage after the catch(although owens did quite a bit of that, I think it was mostly because the pats DBs were guarding him loose to keep him from any huge plays), so it was all on McNabb.
