Wow SG has been dead all day now as soon as Superbowl finshes everyone comes online.

Heh, I can't believe I didn't make that connection. All day I was wondering where the hell everyone was. I have lost interest in pro sports so much that i forget the impact they have on other people. In fact, I am so out of the loop that it never occurred to me that this thread title would have something to do with the superbowl. confused

Hell yes Patriots! The Eagles kinda remind me of the Bills back in the early 90's... Except that the Eagles only lost one Super Bowl, and (count them...) 3 NFC Championships in a row, which is ALMOST as bad as 4 Super Bowls in a row. Losers. If I wanted to sound racist, I'd say McNabb was overrated. But I don't want to come off that way, so I'll just say he's a choke artist.

Ur a Rush Limbaugh fan, aren't cha?

The first half wasn't great because both sides made many mistakes. I thought the second half was darnn good. And it was just another defensive game. I love defensive games.

I'm getting used to my teams winning now. And since football is my number 1 sport, and my favorite team since I was a wee boy is widely considered the best team in that sport, I'm feeling pretty darn good.

I was surprised T.O. brought it out like he did.

Having watched TO play for the Niners for the last several years, I had a feeling that he'd play and contribute. Say what you will about the guy, but he gives the game everything he has. He's been that way from day one. He'd be the ideal teammate if he wasn't such an asshole.

I enjoyed the game, being a pseudo-Patriots fan. But if I wasn't I don't think I would have been that entertained. There were only a couple of really great plays and virtually no "defining" moments. Even McNabb throwing that last pick wasn't the climax of the game...

I honestly thought that if TO played tonight, it would be his career ending game and he'd be using them guns of his to push his ass around in a wheelchair. He surprised me and showed himself to be a great asset to the Eagles, they are lucky to have him... McNabb blew the game cause he choked under pressure. I'm sure if I was in his shoes, I'd choke too, but he choked, not me, and he'll have to anwser for it tomorrow.

Go Pats!! It's good to be from New England.

Donovan was my scene partner in a college acting class. He was a good kid. So good I actually sat through a football game this evening.

They didn't through it enough to Freddie "Boom Boom" Mitchell who is my new favorite player.

He's fucking crazy. And weird. Why does he dress the way he does? And that accent? And he's such a bad, bad football player...and yet he talks all this wonderful, weird shit. Man! love

Nah, we'd have to lose for another 40 years straight to give the Sox competition in that department.

Seriously very funny retort and not planned at all. That acting class was seriously one of the most embarassing moments of my life. It was an African American studies class that consisted of myself and the football team. I thought we would just be reading plays. However the professor surprised us one day when he said we would be acting out scenes. Donovan and I were assigned a scene from Ma Rainey's Black Bottom.

I, the whitest girl ever, stared oposite Donovan as Ma Rainey. surreal

Fuck . It was a great game though.. but.once again shit conservative play calling by Reid torpedos the offense. blackeyed smile

Your QB torpedoed the offense. He was awful.

Yeah, it wasn't Reid, it was McNabb's complete failure to manage the game with less than 5 minutes to play. The 'hurry-up' offense wasn't, blown plays weren't followed up by spiking the ball to kill the clock, and all those interceptions didn't really help the effort.

The rest of the team stepped up, from T.O. to the awesome defense, but McNabb lost that game. Blaming Reid for failure to execute totally misses the point; your quarterback couldn't handle the pressure and choked in the biggest game of his career.

ARRR!!!

McNabb was awful in the last four minutes, but I still have major problems with Reid calling conservative and wanting to stay with a "balanced offense" , and the running game that clearly wasn't working..they did NOT work NE's secondary hard enough , when the chances were there. ..and what the hell was up with no sense of urgency in the last few minutes ? ..fucking pathetic.
