Pointing out that you don't know the difference between Najaf and Fallujha, Sunni insurgents and Shitte insurgents, Baathists and Iraqi clerics, isn't "attacking you." When you can't even get the basic facts straight, why should any one pay attention to your point?

Because my point had nothing to do with the nature of the insurgents. A little brain fart is all it was. I feel you are focusing on that, rather than debate my original point, because it was a valid point, and you can't argue with it.

Reprobate the book has more crdibility to your topic then you think. Not only does it tell why it also tells how. There is another book coming out.

I believe macro management has nothing to do with it. Infact The president doesnt control the ground forces. Yes you can complain all about how Bush got us in there. Whats going on in Falluh. has nothing more to do with the president then you or I do. The commanders on the ground control the mission peramiters.

Next point Im going to make in the last two days I have seen you rip up and down policy and pull out cridible facts. I have seen you gripe and curse about politics. Neather your time on this forum or my educational and personal background makes either one of us more adept at making a point. Infact we seem to come from two different worlds in politics. Which is fine with me I have friend the same way. The reason why I called it a knee jerk reaction was your comments on a "power vacume" and "Who the fuck invades a country and lets a group that didn't even exist prior to the invasion take over entire fucking cities?"

First when you remove a power you are always going to get a vacume. So yes a power vacume was made. Unfortuantly that comes with the territory and I havent seen anyone come up with a better solution to prevent a power vacume in these circumstances.

Second the groups in the area are one of two things. People streaming across the boarder, or local rebels. I might point out the insurgents in Fulluh. that killed women for not wearing proper atire. This belief has been within the Iraqi culture forever. This isnt a new thing. The differnce between the SUNI and SHITTI muslims alone demonstrate that. Needless to say to quell something like this you either need a iorn fist or you have to turn a blind eye to the killing of women for no reason. I'll take the iorn fist aproach. Infact that has worked before. The Brits went into a city and level the oposition. Curfue was lifted soldiers didnt need body armor and the city went back to normal after two weeks of conflict. Maybe thats a anomily that could only work in that particual city (forgot the name).

Right now Iraq has major hurtles to overcome from chooseing/being forced into a programatic or clinetilist democracy, to what will happen to the insurgenice after stability occurs. Looks almost like South American issues a while back. Only time will tell.

P.S. Pardon my terrible spelling I am atempting to work on that but I have a Learning Disability. Kind of like people with Dislexia but it doesnt do the same thing. If I didnt make sense or you couldnt understand please bare with me and ask me to clarify things.
