I was with my mom driving home from a friend's house, she cried when she heard it, and I couldn't figure out why, because she had never met Diana. My callousness towards death begins!
5. 9/11/01 ?
I was in band practice in highschool when everybody thought it was just a small private plane that had crashed. I watched them tumble in my next class on the tv there.
1. Oddly enough, I don't really remember. I was 7 though, so probably at Mark Twain Elementary.
2. Art class at Mark Twain. I heard my Homeroom teacher tell my Art teacher and the rest of the day was spent parked in front of the t.v.
3. Thus begins the Weed era . . . and I now can't remember the specifics.
4. the Cricket on the Hill. I laughed at the drunk ass who told me, and then looked up at CNN.
5. In bed. My step mom came in and said, "You've got to get out here, two planes have hit the WTC and one has hit the Pentagon!!" The first thing out of my sleepy little mouth was, "Are you watching a movie?" Got to the t.v. just in time to see the first tower fall live.
2. I was 3, but i remember watching something about it on TV.
3. In school.
4. I don't care / remember
5. I was on a field training exercise with my unit, and I had to drive my commander out of the field back to the battalion HQ. Upon arrival there, i noticed that there were a lot of people clustered around the TV at the staff duty desk. I walked up just in time to see the second plane hit. Within the hour, all of Ft. Bragg had been closed to civilian traffic, we were told to grab our A and B (deployment) bags, draw our weapons, and stand by. We "stood by" until around 10 at night, when we were finally mobilized to stand guard on key installaions around Ft. Bragg. I heard Bush's speech that night on a radio mounted in the back of a humvee. Two years later, my unit's number was finally called, and I was fighting in Afghanistan.
john hickey: i was only two, so i dont remember much of that...
challanger? in my back yard under an orange tree on a blanket, masturbating while thingking of prince yohan (yes from the smurfs). i saw the weird poofs of smoke in the sky above me.
Oj: haha. i was in government class/ freshmen in highschool. we were watching the trials on tv, and we were all sitting on the desks booing and throwing things at the tv. our teacher was much like mr. garrison on south park. get down mmmkayyyy? throwing things is bad mmmkkaaaayy...
Diana: Paso Car show listening to hot rod lincoln at about 9:30 pm... this hottie 40 yr old greser guy with a platinum pompadour who used to do my hair after hours in his salon so we could make out on the counter came over and whispered it im my ear. I remember being odly shocked, and saddened because i remember watching her wedding with wide eyes when i was a little girl, still playing with sheera.
9/11 Driving to work at a tattoo shop that I worked in at the time. Running inside to turn on the radio, and then the computer so i could get some more info online other than the scattered bits of shit that the radio reporters were spewing. Turning away angry people who just had to get their ink done right that second that had no idea of what had happend, and couldnt understand why i was telling them all to shut up and listen... We closed the shop that day, and all proceeded to go home and get increddibly inebriated and wallow in confused sorrow and disbelief
