Mind you, I support the Palestinean struggle for freedom and their own nation. I think, frankly, that they have a bigger right to it than the Israelites (even though by now I hope they'll be able to live side by side in two separate nations).

The "Israelites"?

Well I guess the Jews have been in the area since those days....

The Arabs got exclusive rights on 4/5ths of the former Palestine - it's now called Jordan. The remaining 1/5th was shared between the Jews, Arabs and Christians it's called Israel.

Some of the Israel side Arabs voluntarily left and went to live in Jordan, but Jordan didn't let them become Jordanians. They kept them on the West Bank as "refugees".

Most Jordanians are former Palestinians and out of courtesy to the French, they are ruled by the minority Hashemites (a tribe from the Saudi Arabia region).

As the majority of the former Palestine is now reserved exclusively for Arabs, wouldn't it be better to rename Jordan "Palestine"?

How do you feel about this discussion. It is easy for us to speculate what HIV+ people must be feeling, but most of us haven't travelled one inch in your shoes.

Where is the interest to know if Arafat has AIDS or not ? He is dead.

Well, it's interesting for the same reason that it's interesting that Rock Hudson and Freddie Mercury died of AIDS -- he was a famous leader, and the details of his personal life are therefore interesting by default.

no it is not the same. Rock Hudson died from AIDS when AIDS still was a shameful illness.
Now it is totally different .
