Method of voting?

Absontee ballot in Pennsylvania. I am in California at the moment.

I filled out a mail-in ballot. You had to mark your selection by drawing in the space on an arrow, between the tail & point of it. It's an OCR ballot.

Why the fuck are we still using punch-card ballots? 85% of Ohio is punch-card? Did we learn nothing from Florida 2000?

We seriously need some kind of national standard before the 2008 election.
Am I alone in this thinking?

Yeah, I didn't have any democratic poll watchers either.

I went in and voted with out having to wait at all and voted on a computer based system where you scrolled to your choices, pressed "select" and then cast my vote electronically.
