The truth is that stockula would be outraged by anything less than Jacque Chirac personally shooting down Arafat's helicopter with a shoulder-fired rocket.

He's the gun nut... let him shoot Arafat down himself and stop complaining if he's that worried about it. His rhetoric is really beginning to get tired and old.

Yeah, I have a list of things that immediately causes me to walk away from a conversation:

1) people who use 'french' as a synonym for 'bad' and such
2) people who call people they dont like 'pinkos' or 'commies' and similar things

I think he should compile them into a book. It could be a bestseller.

It is so strange for me to hear "french people".
A huge part of french people are still for war in Irak (stockula should know the figaro ; it is a conservative paper).
anoter part is against the war. In this part, people like Chirac are against the war because of the oil. Anoter part is against the war because we knew it was a bad solution to help iraki people and will develop terrorism.

I can not say "american people" because a democrat and a republican have so few things in common smile. so be the same please.

Might I add that I'm very happy to be spending the next year working in Paris?

Really ? do you speak french ? have you ever been in Paris ?

Oh yes, I know Le Figaro newspaper. France's answer to the Washington Times. They dug up some very damaging dirt about George W. Bush recently. Information so shameful and scandalous, it's certain to send his re-election bid off the rails.

Bush is one of us, say French
By Henry Samuel in Paris
(Filed: 30/10/2004)

Knocking John Kerry's Gallic roots could be a thing of the past for George W Bush's camp after a claim that the president, too, is descended from the people his supporters call "cheese-eating surrender monkeys".

French historians believe that Bush is a corruption of the name Boucher (butcher).

The apparent connection was uncovered by a reporter on Le Figaro in a book on French America, Histoire de l'Amerique Française.

The paper suggested that was why the president's official biographers never traced the family tree beyond 1850.

"Perhaps that is the moment when the Boucher of the old world became the Bush of the new?" Le Figaro said.

Americanising French surnames was commonplace in the early 1800s. Desrochers, became Stone and Auclair became O'Clair. Yesterday Le Figaro revelled in its discovery, suggesting that it could tip the election in Mr Kerry's favour.

"With a name like Boucher, Mr Bush may even lose the vegetarian vote," it said. Such is the climate of American francophobia after France's opposition to the Iraq invasion that any mention of the F-word could be damaging.

Mr Kerry has played down the fact that he has a French cousin, Brice Lalonde, who was the environment minister in Franois Mitterrand's government. He has been urged not to give interviews to US newspapers.

When questioned about Mr Kerry's Gallic ties, White House officials came up with the worst insult they could think of. "He looks French," they said.

(BTW, the story is complete speculative BS. Bush's family can be traced back to England as far as the 16th century. Maybe some of his ancestors are Norman, that's about as French as he gets.

Actually, I'll be visiting friends in Paris at some point in the next 6 months, probably after the purchase and build of my new shop is completed. My ex just left for paris last week, she'll be there for a month or so. It's been 3 years since the last time I was in france... too long.

If I could, I'd ship my Triumph over and see the continent that way for a month or so. The Swiss and German alpine roads were incredible back in 2001.

One of these years....
