I was at the mall today and I kid you not saw a woman with her hair done up with "weave" in Red, White and Blue braids. It was the ugliest thing I have ever seen in my life. Fuck "Patriot Day". When I see crap like that it makes wanna puke it's just dumb, fat, stupid whores pretending to care in the name of her twisted fashion sense.

You tell ME what's so "patriotic" about what happened three years ago. There HAD to be better names for this day in the running. I'm not saying people shouldn't observe it briefly like they still do with Pearl Harbor since it was a sad event but... Patriot Day? This "Rah rah rah! USA!" air really pinches a nerve because a lot of it is senseless and schizophrenic like "Patriot Day". My goodness...

You could choose not to participate. I consider myself rather patriotic...and I spent today surfing and going to a picnic...not wrapped in a flag, watching TV news footage, or hating brown people.

Not to be nit-picky, but the fourth Monday of April in Massachusetts is already Patriots Day, and it's been a state holiday for years. The day of the Boston Marathon and the 11:00 am Red Sox game, incidentally.

If you really hate it here so much. Please feel free to leave at any time. I hear Canada's hiring.

That's so fucking offensive. I hate when people say that. I thought people hated us for our freedoms, like the freedom to not see things exactly like you do whatever

He didnt say you had too. Just that if you didnt like it you could.

It's just like a bad marriage, why would you want to stay if you were not happy?

I got engaged in February 2002 and picked up a bridal magazine. They were already pushing these:

I didn't know whether to laugh, cry, or vomit.

I'm all for remembering this day, but I really hope it doesn't get cheapened the way Memorial Day has. I hope to God we don't see "Patriot Day Sales!!!" in twenty years. surreal

Yes, because the most patriotic thing you can do is leave your country when you think it's becoming (or has become) shithouse. Nice work.
