Depends on how busy the editors are, and whether they think your submission needs work or is ok in its submitted form.

There's a group for news editors and contributors and so on where this stuff gets discussed.

but, my opinion? i like the idea of a line-item veto. it has the potential to do great things to bills like the one i mentioned a few days ago, so long as there are specific safeguards in place to keep it from being abused...
