I'll have to admit, I'm a bit disapointed that this thread wasn't closed by the time I got here. I irony would have been just too delicious. However it seems well on it's way. smile

1) When terrorists and their leaders hide in and among civilians, they invite such attacks. Sorry, but that's how it works.

many of the people who are blamed for 9/11 hid out in Florida. should we send cruise missiles into West Palm Beach, since that's "how it works"?
surely there must still be some 'cell members' still hiding out there.

violence as an answer to violence is outdated.

Because some people don't know the difference between polite disageement and anti-semitic rhetoric. Just as racism gets topics closed, so does religious hate speech.

Now, go buy those nice boys & girls a Pesach package, you cheap bastards. wink

I thought if a thread on a certain topic was closed that meant no one else is supposed to start another thread about that same topic?

From the FAQ: If a thread is closed or deleted and you wish to continue discussing the issue and you decide to post another thread on the same topic or one in protest of the deletion your account will prohibited from posting to the site in the future.

That's pretty interesting, because i'm pretty sure the only real solution to this problem is gonna be to fire nuclear warheads at everyone, and exterminating everyone on the planet.
If there was just one guy left alive in the whole world, you can guarantee he'd be whining that the animals were making nests on his land. That territorial instinct. It's hard coded into us, unfortunately. i'm sure we'd all be spared a lot of misery without it.

this thread is special because it's a meta-thread about the thousands of threads on this topic that have been closed in the past. wink

BUT, every time a debate about this starts on SG it gets shut down very quickly… Why?

Probably the seven Jew bankers who control the world's money supply had something to do with it.

jokes like this get it shut down.

I can't believe anyone wouldn't know that was a joke.

Well, I can, but I prefer to pretend people like that don't exist.

Well no, see, since Florida is INSIDE OUR COUNTRY, we can (and do) use more conventional law enforcement methods to corral criminal and terrorist suspects inside our own borders.

On the other hand, it would be fun to blow some flamingos to Pluto. Scramble the Apaches!

Outdated? That's the thing about violence... there is no "sell by" date. It's always fresh.
