This could affect more than just Mississippi, their stated intention is to challenge Roe vs Wade
Right.
which could result in making abortion illegal everywhere.
Wrong.
Even if the Court overturned Casey and the central holding in Roe, this would not make abortion illegal everywhere. Several states have incorporated pro-choice rights into their constitutions and laws. Abortion would be legal there, and would only be made illegal by action by the individual states or a constitutional amendment.

WOW. You know, we've got a pretty big country up here, guys... might be time to just leave the crazies behind to fend for themselves.
That sounds nice enough, but we would be leaving behind a bunch of crazies in a country that has a stockpile of nuclear and conventional weapons. As much as I hate to admit it, I feel alot safer sticking it put here rather than leaving this place behind with the religious wackos in full control, and I think we can all agree no one wants that.
For the sake of the world, we would be willing to let you bring them with you; we will allow you to count them as a carry-on .
We'd have to bring some prisons though. We'd have to kiss the asses of the idiots in charge up there.

How about we trade....we will take your sane people and you can take our nut jobs.
I think the best thing about this being rejected is that it was done in one of the most conservative states in the country. If Mississippi rejects Prop 26, it will most likely be rejected everywhere (except maybe Kentucky or Alabama... we'll have to see about them...).
