Cathy Cruz Marrero, the Pennsylvania woman who was captured on mall surveillance tapes falling into a fountain as she was engrossed in text messaging on her cell phone, is facing bigger problems than simple embarrassment.
But beyond such humiliation, Marrero has some bigger problems to face.
Marrero, 49, appeared in Berks County Court on Thursday for a status hearing on theft and related charges.
In October 2009, she allegedly used a co-worker's credit card to buy $5,000 worth of merchandise. One of the stores cited in court documents, "CBS Early Show" co-anchor Jeff Glor noted, is the one in which Marrero and the co-worker are both employed - in the mall where Marrero fell in the fountain.
She also has several theft cases and a hit-and-run charge on her record.

Obviously, she's suing in an effort to cover her legal expenses.
