Apparently the book was either self published or done by a vanity press in tiny numbers, and he was fired from the paper immediately following the sacking of the editor who hired him. I think it was more that his 15 minutes were up and no one else was willing to pay him to do anything that involved being in the public eye, so he disappeared.

He's not exactly an, um, 'asset' to any legitimate political group I can think of.

Pearlgate Press

They are from Texas and have a grand total of 2 titles. Not quite a vanity press. Just a pathetic one.

The author of the other book in the Pearlgate Press list, Thomas N. Tabback, was ghostwriter for "Joe the Plumber: Fighting for the American Dream".

Funny how folks from the "party of personal responsibility" are the first to blame others for their failures.

He wasn't licensed, remember? Opening his stupid mouth probably torpedoed that plan.

I am proud to say that before trying to watch one of the videos earlier in this thread, I had neither seen nor heard anything from Joe the plumber ever, only heard the mention of his name. And I am happy to hear it will take little effort to never hear anything from him again. smile

He even basically told the Birthers to shut the fuck up.

At the same event, Wurzelbacher made some comments supportive of Barack Obama, saying those who question whether the president was born in the U.S. "belittle and set back" the conservative movement.

I question how the article framed that assertion of his.

I mean, as a fairly rabid atheist, I'm happy to point out that continuing with the "Can God make a rock so big..." arguments just makes us look stupid. That hardly means I'm supporting theism.

I'm sorry, you guys were having a thread here. Carry on.

Ok, it worked for me this time. And Joe's book is no longer attached to the website.
