FYI: the prada toolkit is $700 dollars, not $400. i'm a label whore-hate me!!! love

You can get a lot of Snap-On tools for $700. You can get even more Craftsman tools, which are fine for most things. Anyone got a link to the contents of this horrid thing? I haven't found a link yet.

there's no link. just flip through the latest issue of wallpaper magazine. it's in there.

Wallpaper has a magazine? Good grief.

A&F are the people who sold thongs made for pre-teens. Therefore, I hate them.

Seriously? puke puke puke puke

picture of one of them

article about it

And I agree with Clara on this. I am disturbed by the trend of young girls seeing themselves as sex objects and dressing the part, and I see the thongs as part of a trend. I don't blame the thongs themselves, but I do blame society in general for sexualizing teen girls at a younger and younger age WITHOUT teaching them how to be responsible and healthy sexual beings. I would never say that children do not have sexual urges, they do. But if we refuse to teach them sexual ethics and tell them how to take care of themselves no matter what they decide to do, we're raising kids who have no self-respect and who put themselves in physical and emotional danger, and we have no right to do that for the sake of "marketing".

Did you notice how it said "eye candy" in a lil heart on the front of them? How fucking gross and disturbing is it that there would be that written on a thong for preteens?
puke puke puke

Although...maybe it's for midgets. whatever

Maybe it's too much to hope that one of those things we can all agree is that pre-teen thongs are wrong...or at least shouldn't be made. Suppose that's just too mcuh.

For the people who say that it wouldn't be made if there wasn't a demand for them, i ask you this: How disturbing is it that there's a "demand" for them; that there 12 year olds are thinking: "Fuck...i want a thong, th-, th-, th-, thong."? Would girls want them if they weren't made?

What purpose is there for thongs other than for them to be sexy?

Well it's just kinda funny that there's a magazine for wallpaper...which has to be the most boring thing to base a magazine off of. At least i think so.

For the life of me, I can't see anyone with the liquid wherewithall to actually buy the silly Prada nonsense, actually getting their hands dirty at whatever plebeian tasks one might actually need (gasp!) tools for. tongue biggrin

I know what you're saying, Stiles. I have mostly Crafstman tools...with a few Matco & Snap On mixed in that I found at yard sales. I was only pushing Snap On in the argument because they're the most recognizable name in professional grade tools.

While it would be dumb for me personally to spend $20 on a Snap On screwdriver.....My dad has to because he's a professional mechanic. Hell, even he buys Crafstman for shit he doesn't use too often.

The running joke in his shop is that he may as well adopt the Snap On guy's kid....since he's already putting him through college.

Well, trying to hire "hot" employees must not be working. A&F's sales were down 13% for the month of November. And the catalog has been officially retired. Story here.

I hope it's because people took a good look at the clothes, and said, "Well, I can get a shirt that's pretty much identical to this one at Target for half the price."

is this some kind of joke where at the end of the thread someone is going to jump out of a cake and yell 'SUPRISE! WE WERE JUST FUCKING WITH YOU! JUST JOKING ABOUT BEING SUPER DUMB'?

Suprise! Victoria's Secret is opening a store for pre-teen girls.
Yay! It's my birthday.
Donkey Kong! Yay!

On a more serious, and slightly more related matter, has anyone ever seen a male employee at Victoria's Secret?

I think a large portion of the customers would object to having a man help them with a bra fitting.
