I don't think Canada and the US will join up - I think that Canadians are justifiably reticent to get too close to Americans as we tend to be extremist and violent. Canadians have lots of guns - but Canadians are usually not so disgruntled as to go killing stuff (i.e. People.) I tend to be more tuned to temperance, and Esbee's reaction to my thoughts on expatriation are a little bit of a nudge in that direction. My people were living in Texas before it was a country, let alone a state, but I stll see my uncles and aunts and cousins getting treated like second class citizens in Texas, where they've been citizens for so many generations it's ridiculous. I can't trace my Apache and Yaqui history because the Apache wouldn't stop fighting and the Yaqui wouldn't start. Well, that's an oversimplification but pretty acurate. I guess my point is that my urge to expatriate myself should be welcome by rabid Americans who say "Love it or leave it!" Well I love it... but more and more I think about leaving - or at least retreating to the hills... Maybe I'm a wuss (prolly) but I'm scared of the way things is going. Pardon me.

CANADA?!?...reality check...check out the tax rate and medical system...our good friends come south of the border when they need fast and good medical care...

...I doubt anyone could come up with, and execute a better system than they did...

So, do you like or dislike our system? confused

wasn't diss'n our neighbor to the north...hell, i see one day due to economic collapse, that canada and the u.s. will become one nation. (sans quebec)

It won't happen. Our economies are already closely intertwined, merging politically would be pointless. And why without Quebec?

there is no such thing as right or wrong or good and evil at that level of international politics...

Sorry, but nuclear proliferation is a bad thing, they're a menace in anyone's hands. North Korea's actions have made the world a more dangerous place for the sake of vanity. how is that repectable or admirable?

..North Korea doesn't give a shit about that however, they are playing a game of chess with the US and they have a reasonably strong position.

This isn't a game. This is real.

perhaps NATO will protect the French the next time(?)...perhaps not. I just tire of their endless strikes and philosophical idealism.

Actually, I'm pretty sure they're all materialists...
