I work for an accountant firm in LA, and we're about to go into tax season (1st of the year the fit hits the shan) so I know a little bit and will no more in 6 months when we finally catch up on all the work There are a million and one things you can do to avoid income tax. Buying a new couch is a write off, same with a new car. Anytime you spend money you can write that off. Also, businesses that are breaking even every year are the most profitable ventures for the owners and the least profitable for the stockholders. The last place I worked was "barely breaking even" (Quote from the Man! - lol -) yet the boss and his brother both drove big (and I mean BIG SUV's) and the president buit, owned, and drove his own racecar. They owned huge houses in the nicest neighborhoods, bought their family cars and expensive presents... not the spending attitudes of men who's livelihood is "only breaking even." The benefit of the tax laws for the rich is that if they can tie an item they purchase in as a business expense they can write it off personally and professionally. Do that enough, add in the transportation costs of to and from work and jobsites, roll it up with a company card that pays for food, meals out... well, suffice it to say that I saw the amount of money coming in, and then I saw the amount of money being declared, then I saw the overhead and said to myself... WOW!
Gentlemen, women, children... being a worker in this society is not any way to get ahead... being a boss is... they got it sweeeeet!
And what is the population of the countries you mention?..what is their GDP?..
Are you saying you can receive better medical care under socialized medicine?
The US has the greatest medical system for those who can afford to pay for it. The problem is more and more people can not afford it. More and more people have to choose to pay for food or pay for insurance. People in the US more and more are going without preventative medicine.
The countries I mention are each and every European industrialized country.
