Don't get me wrong, I respect Obama--believe what you want--and I have great hope for the next four years. I don't agree with some of his views but hey, whatever, I didn't agree with some of McCain's either. I just think it's messed up that you can say someone like that in your topic title.

Nader seems to have taken a page from the Rove play book; never back down even when you know you said something completely idiotic.

Why? Nader isn't a member here, as far as I know, so we're not bound by the TOS when we talk about a racist fuck like he has shown himself to be.

I respect the point Nader is trying to make, but his choice of words was patently abysmal. If Obama had gotten more than 400 electoral votes he would have a lot more power going in. But as it stands, he's got a bit of an uphill battle to keep his visions for the country unmolested by the myriad motives of individuals in congress, lobbyists and the military industrial complex.

Those two statements aren't remotely comparable.

Is Obama a member? Maybe, but I don't think so, in which case (if he isn't) I really don't think the majority here would look to kindly on me speaking poorly of him.

If I were to post a topic that flat out bashed Obama it'd most likely get deleted or locked at minimum I bet, so I think it unfair and wrong that something like this title should be left alone.

@ Freakpirate, it's my opinion that by associating himself with someone that hates the U.S. Obama did something incredibly stupid as well, but a lot of you seem to dismiss that and think he's the savior of the country (which, heck if I know,) he might turn out to be.

As for Mr. Nader: really bad choice of words considering the person he was referring to, but I think puppet man might have allowed him to finish his last sentence. I'm guessing he tried to be edgy by using this term having the "betrayal to a group you should be loyal to" meaning in mind, and it ended up in fail.

A person is born into their race. They do not choose it. But it takes a conscious choice to make racist statements. That is the main difference. Nader chose to make a racist statement. And I think only a racist fuck would do such a thing, so I called Nader a racist fuck.
