Dear Mr. Kucinich:
Jobs are now pouring out of your district. Cleveland's economy is uhber fail, the city is dying, the suburbs are feeling the backlash from the city failing.
I understand that your desire to be president requires you to get on TV as much as you can, and this typically requires you to forget completely about your district, which is now rampant with crime, an underfunded police force, city services that are prone to failure and an overall dissatisfaction with you personally. You made promises in order to keep your congressional seat in representing us, i didn't vote for you, you have continuously lied to us and continue to do so.
While you continuously state that you are for "the little guy", you're not. You're sincerely concerned with putting money in your pocket, or a checkmark next to your name for your next failed run at President.
You have failed to make any decisions that you stated in this Video, you have failed to stop taxing us, you continuously approve one of the highest sales taxes in the State, you continuously add "sin Taxes" to things like beer and cigarettes to fund projects that have no chance of even getting off the ground.
Please Mr. Kucinich, long before you start criticizing congress for the lack of doing anything, look in the mirror and ask yourself what you have done for your district, you know, the one that has a population drop that is only bested by the population drop for when Katrina hit New Orleans. The district that has lost more jobs than dollars that you may have in your bank account. The district that repeatedly makes poor decisions and creates more job loss. The district that has one of the highest small business taxes in Ohio. Please Mr. Kucinich, take the time to realize that you have failed your constituents miserably and have absolutely no footing to make any of the statements that you have made in this video.
Your platform for your congressional seat was based on fear and God. Two things i despise. You won your seat because you created fear about your competitor and you used the catholic base of Cuyahoga to fuel yourself.
So Mr. Kucinich, before you start ranting about the shortcomings of congress. Please ask yourself about your shortcomings as a congressional leader in your district.
Please quit wasting time with trying to impeach Bush, trying to make yourself sound smarter by making bold statements like this one, and concentrate on what is failing critically in your district, and do something to change it.
Mr. Kucinich, please shut the fuck up and do your job rather than waste more time preparing for your next failed presidential run.

What exactly has the "bailout" accomplished to aid the people of Cleveland??
Note that right after the bailout, and even now stocks are still tanking, and we have lost more value in the stock market since that day, than was in the bailout. Think about it, take a look at his real issues.
Hell take a crash course in economics, I really think you can use one.

Maybe you should take a course in representative government.
He stated why he doesn't feel like weighing Kucinich's opinion, and you ran roughshod over that to tell him he doesn't understand economics? Why?

Because everyone ignored him the last time he linked to that crash course.

I got word today that my student loans are safe, and that i will more than likely be approved for more student loans, that is a big stress off my shoulders. My small business loan came out of holding and i can actually borrow money again, which will help me with improving my business, i can do wonderful stuff again like.....make payroll.
The real question should be is what exactly has Kucinich accomplished for Cleveland?

So you mean it's going to get worse before it gets better? Did you really think that it was going to be an insta-fix? Here is a crash course for you
I think Dennis Kucinich's real issues mostly deal with what's best for him, because he stopped making decisions for his constituents years ago.

1-Because he does not.
2-Because pretty much everything Kucinich's speech is spot on the truth.
3- Because the bailout is a case of the incompetent rich robbing the working poor using congress as a a gun.
4- Because as I posted yesterday that nobody bothered to look at you can pretty much just look at who voted for the bailout and know who got a lot more campaign contributions from wall street and banks.
Surprise, Surprise Congress is bought and paid for by Wall Street
5 - Because he and you are being raped by Wall Street right now in a bigger way that ever before in history and he is buying the propaganda.
6 - Because the government that you apparently trust so much that you will without protest let them take your tax money and give it to Wall Street, is lying to you in important and fundamental ways about the US economy and who knows what else.

1 - What was that in response to? Do you understand that the way you responded to his post had nothing at all to do with what he said in that post? Do you get how forums work?
2 - Doesn't matter. DevilsReject stated why he doesn't care about what Dennis is saying.
Everything else is just you hitting that same note. You're not even addressing me or, apparently, anybody else. You've constructed some artificial personality that, judging from your responses, doesn't agree with you.
Here's what happened: you posted video of Dennis Kucinich. Another user posted why, in that user's opinion, he's not interested in what Dennis Kucinich has to say. You responded with argumentation about what Kucinich said, which, as I said, the user did not care about. I stated the above, you promptly decided that I must not agree with you about the bailout blah de blah de blah.
Get off your high horse. Just because you agree with what somebody is saying in a clip doesn't mean that another person will give any kind of shit at all. That has nothing to do with understanding economics and a lot to do with understanding human communication patterns. I know which one is more important. I'm starting to see that you do not.

You did not ask why did I ignore that guy. You asked "He stated why he doesn't feel like weighing Kucinich's opinion, and you ran roughshod over that to tell him he doesn't understand economics? Why?"
I told him that he does not understand economics because he does not.
I did not ignore him at all. His attacks on Kucinich's speech are based on the idea he has that Kucinich opposition to the bill was not in the best interest of the nation or the people of his district. Nothing could be further from the truth.
From that and other things he has stated is is abundantly clear that he does not understand what is going on, and that Kucinich is going out on limb to try and protect the best interests of the people of the USA and his district.

Kucinich's attack on the bill is a gamble, at best.
Kucinich is growing old, he's losing his following in his district. He had to actually work to win this last election because a practically no-name competitor that a lot of people wanted in office. The only thing that won him his seat again was that he had more pull with the Unions and Churches than his no-name competitor did.
The only way that anyone will give him a chance in 2012, is if he pulls off some outstanding form of a congressional miracle. Since he is losing his backing and is failing at performing his job in his congressional district, he is gambling that the bill will fail, that the economy will continue to be bad, that the nation's economy fail, and he will look to be the democratic hero in 2012, so that means in 2009, he will begin ignoring his congressional district again and turn all his focus to failing at being an actual presidential candidate.
Kucinich has a lot of balls getting up and arguing about how any amount of money is being spent. Cleveland's public school system is failing, the national rating for our schools is pathetic. In the mid to late 90's when our school system was still repairable, what did Kucinich push? A sin tax. To improve our school system?
Nope
This and This
On top of those wonderful things he has plans set to terminate my gun rights, regulate talk radio so that it's more equal, and to challenge liberal Hollywood. (important stuff i tell ya).
Meanwhile, our school systems continue to tank, our police force continues to be underfunded and understaffed, crime is increasing rapidly, the population is exiting just as rapidly and he is off dancing around with the idea that he has the chance at a) impeaching bush or cheney b) has a chance at becoming president.
I understand economics. I understand that Cleveland economically collapsed about 7 years ago, and Kucinich hasn't done anything to improve the economic downfall here, and has absolutely no right at all to criticize anyone, or anyone's decision when it comes to economic decisions.
You want to tell me Kucinich is concerned about my welfare? I know better. Kucinich is worried about making a political statement that probably won't have any affect on him running in 2012, because he will fail. He is worried about himself, only himself and how he can further himself on the shoulders of his constituents money and lives. The man is pure evil.

I think the mere fact that DevilsReject lives in Cleveland, and Mr. Kunich is his representative, means that DevilsReject can say whatever he wants about said district or said representative and be treated as an authority.

Do you know how to parse a sentence? What I asked was why you ran roughshod over his response. It doesn't matter what his response was. You clearly ignored it. You went on to assume that the reply came because of an idea (not stated anywhere in DevilsReject's reply) about Kucinich's opposition to the bill vis-a-vis Cleveland interests. Read it again, sport. Read it all again. Maybe instead of replying next time, just read it again.
In short, you created your own ball and ran with it. Or you brought in baggage from other threads. Either way, you fouled out. Try at least a modicum of reading comprehension next time.

It is not "ignoring" to be better educated about something and understand that the person making the statement he did, does so out of ignorance.
It is not running roughshod over someone to help them to help themselves. Ii assumed nothing about his statement, in it he specifically attacked Kunich as in:;
Please Mr. Kucinich, take the time to realize that you have failed your constituents miserably and have absolutely no footing to make any of the statements that you have made in this video.
He before that attacked Kucinich over state taxes, which clearly a federal congressman does not get to vote on, and state government policy that federal congressmen do not get to vote on. He goes on and on.about shit a congressman has no power to do anything about, and when he actually tries hard to stop waste of money that come out of his constituant's pockets, from being given to fat-cats, he is attacked for all this other bullshit that a congressman has no power over.
I did read his post, I did understand it, much better than you I think, and I was not in any way shape or form "running roughshod" on him. He was running roughshod over Kucinich for no reason he expressed that Kucinich as a congressman, has any power to do anything about.

Do you have any idea of Kucinich's history? Really? do you? You do know he bankrupt the city of Cleveland as mayor, right?
You do know that he has a long history of "Standing up to Big Business" with a bunch of talk, and then hardly ever following through with actions? You do understand that you just don't wake up one day and be a Congressman, you usually work your way through the ranks, and in his case destroy things as you move through them.
You would think since Dennis Kucinich sits on the House Committee on Education and Labor, that he would actually come from a place that has some substantial numbers in either category.
While in office in Cleveland he did such wonderful things like refuse public transportation in Cleveland:
Despite this, Kucinich, once in office, moved to reverse actions of the previous Ralph Perk administration that he campaigned against. He rejected a $41 million federal grant for a Urban Mass Transportation Administration people mover to be built in Downtown Cleveland.[2][6] In 1976, Cleveland was one of four cities to receive federal support on such a project. The mayor commented afterwards that the people mover ought to go "back to Disneyland where it belongs."[6] He also vetoed eight ordinances, most of which were tax abatements and subsidies.[2]
Melvin G. Holli, in consultation with a panel of experts, placed Kucinich among the ten worst big-city mayors of all time in the book, Best and Worst of the Big-City Leaders 1820-1993.
In a dramatic closed-door meeting, Kucinich administration officials, CEI business leaders, and council members packed City Hall and watched the clock as Cleveland became the first major American city to default on its financial obligations since the Great Depression at midnight on December 15, 1978.
source
But! He saved Cleveland Muny light! He saved the taxpayers millions!
wrong.
late in the 1990's CEI's rates started to compete with CPP and low and behold, people are now paying more to CPP than they are to CEI.
Why? CPP wasn't sold to a company that could take care of the grid and the equipment like CEI, it was maintained by a city that financially couldn't afford to take care of an electrical grid.
Now they can't keep up with demand, and CPP wants to participate in the build of a coal-fired powerplant on the Ohio River.....great thinking.
So while he is getting cheers from the Ron Paulians of the nation, the little guy here, in Cleveland is paying a bigger bill because of his desire to break the city and "stand up to big business"
Dennis Kucinich is the biggest do nothing congressman in congress, he is filled with words and has no ability to accomplish anything.
Let's take a look at his record:
In the 108th Congress (the current one), Rep. Kucinich has sponsored 24 pieces of legislation, including amendments. None have become law to date. Only two have come up for a vote: Amendment 2 to HR 4 (several changes to state block grants) failed by a vote of 124 to 300, and Amendment 194 to HR 2417 (trying to get telephone records between the CIA and the White House) failed by a vote of 76 to 347.
Fail. Fail. Fail. Fail.
In the 107th Congress, Rep. Kucinich sponsored 38 pieces of legislation, including amendments. Five reached a vote and failed. An amendment increasing funding in the Department of Agriculture for biotechnology risk assessment passed.
Fail. Fail. Fail. Fail.
In the 106th Congress, Kucinich sponsored 30 pieces of legislation, including amendments. An amendment in which Kucinich sought a "zero tolerance" policy for small businesses that make a first time mistake with federal paperwork was narrowly defeated.
Thanks for looking out for "the little guy" Kucinich. Fail.
There's a real shocker in the 106th, though. Dennis tried to get an amendment (Amendment 1100 to HR 4811) passed that would have blocked funds for the Kosovo Protection Corps. (These are the forces that General Wesley Clark commanded under President Bill Clinton which stopped the slaughter in Kosovo.) The amendment failed.
Fail. Fail. Fail. Fail.
Kucinich first tried in the 105th to get "zero tolerance" penalties for small businesses that make first time paperwork violations, but that effort failed. He also introduced an amendment that would have allowed each state to pass laws in conflict with an international treaty (NAFTA) by denying funds for enforcement, but that failed, too.
Why do you hate small business owners Dennis?
Fail Fail Fail Fail.
source
He was running roughshod over Kucinich for no reason he expressed that Kucinich as a congressman, has any power to do anything about.
Kucinich couldn't pass a bill to release himself from a wet paper bag.
Ron Paul wanted him as a Veep because it would actually make it look like Ron Paul did something.
