My mom worked for Mr. Flynt back in the day, when he was running the Hustler Club in Ohio and she never has anything but nice things to say about the man. I for one respect and admire the man.

Her attorney, Stephen Goodwin, said in a statement: "It's incredulous that anyone would think it appropriate in any way to attempt to publish unauthorized photos of Jessica _ photos taken before she was deployed to Iraq and before her capture and rescue."

That sure doesn't sound like "There's no way in hell these pictures exist" I don't really care either way....but I'm sure Mr. Flynt is operating under the belief that no publicity is bad publicity.

He actually said "It's incredulous"? Learn to talk, lawyer boy.

I doubt Larry Flynt would be scared by guys in dark glasses with wires from their ears. The guy took on the Supreme Court AND survived an attempted assassination - now he cruises around in a gold plated wheelchair

He is a total fucking hero

This is an interesting take on the whole thing.

Why did Flynt do this? Because he gains more than he would if he published the pics. She's young, she partied, she got naked, someone took pictures, big deal. Not enough people would have been interested for this to have made anyone money.

i agree...people try and shit on him, but someone has to stand up for our right to look at naked chicks, dammit. cause believe me, without people like him and his lawyers, the right wing conservatives and religious right would pass laws to shut down every tittie bar, porn website, studio and magazine in the country.

i for one, salute him.

I don't get Jessica Lynch. At the risk of being overly inflammatory on my first post... the girl's a soldier in a (*cough*somewhatquestionable*cough*) war, this is her job. She does this job badly enough that she gets captured, and is essentially a bystander to her own rescue, yet when she returns she's given a hero's welcome and basically the full day of fine CNN programming... how is she a "hero" exactly? I must have missed it. What did she do that was heroic? Well... hmmm... oh, I know, she didn't up and kill herself during her oh-so-rough incarceration, at least some of which was served in a hospital where I presume she recieved at least some measure of care... and then some unit comes in and "liberates" her. So, if anyone deserves hero status, it's the guys who "risked their lives" wandering into a hospital and pulling her out. Well, I guess when you have international dissent over your actions, you have to do what you can to make sure you get a poster child. But if you guys want some REAL American heroes (in my very Canadian opinion, don't be mad!wink), then try (clicking here).

Oh yeah, my POINT, which i forgot to get to, was that naked photos are probably way more worth seeing than any news item mentioning Jessica Lynch, because that's really not saying very much. smile
