i'm fucking telling you, Kim Jong Ill watched too much James Bond as a kid. i guarantee he's got scientists figuring out how to splice weasel genes with the DNA of a chainsaw, so he can have a pit of weaselsaws to drop captured superspies in. he seriously thinks he's Dr. No or some shit.

Stockula,

When you are done gleefully masturbating to the news that Kim Jong Il unsurprisingly prefers a candidate that supports dialogue, why don't you compile a list of world leaders that prefer McCain over Obama? If nations that are our friends back McCain and nations that are our enemies back Obama, then you might be on to something. If our friends and enemies alike prefer Obama, then you're offering a confirmation bias by just picking examples that fit your stance.

By all indications I have seen, most people around the world prefer Obama.
World population prefers Obama.
Asians prefer Obama.
Cuban anti-Castro dissidents prefer Obama.
Canadians prefer Obama.
Young people with internet prefer Obama.
Iranians who want normalized relations with the US prefer Obama.
Etc.

And most importantly, lets not forget that Americans also prefer Obama's diplomatic approach. smile

Well, of course. They are soft on America's enemies - unlike internet chickenhawks and talk radio hosts. whatever

Hey now; before you start berating ALL radio talk show hosts, don't forget to mention Rush Limbaugh's brave service to our nation during the Vietnam Crisis. I mean, hell, even avowed Left-wing wussy Al Franken gave him a lot of credit in his news article "Operation: Chicken Hawk" biggrin biggrin biggrin

Because a Democrat President is less likely to blow him up. That's the reason we support him too.

Maybe the North Korean nut job is "endorsing" Obama because between bush and the manchurian candidate, those two are making him look good.(Kim Jong il) And the only less meangingful endorsement is bush endorses mcsame.

You have to realize, in Stockula's (and others of his ilk) mind, ANYONE who likes Obama is automatically an enemy.

Did you even read the article before you copied and pasted?

Pyongyang favors Obama because he has vowed to meet leaders of rogue states, such as the North Korean leader, without conditions if elected.
...
Obama has said that he may be willing to sit down face-to-face with leaders like North Korean leader Kim Jong-Il if that's what it takes to resolve the continuing nuclear tension on the Korean peninsula.

Who wouldn't prefer to be able to state their case to a potential enemy rather than being unilaterally dismissed? Just because the man is crazy doesn't mean he's stupid. The only thing that can be taken from this article is that Kim Jong-Il at least knows the value of dialogue in establishing peaceful resolution, unlike the farce that is the current whitehouse administration.

Looks like Bush is also in league with the evil red menace of the east.

http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/archives/individual/2008_06/013985.php

Also on Thursday, President Bush is expected to announce that he intends to remove North Korea from the U.S. government's list of nations that sponsor terrorism and waive it from the provisions of the Trading With the Enemy Act, which bars almost all commerce.

Because he sees Obama as weak, malleable, and unlikely to end his regime. He probably figures he can actually get him to supply him with commodities in exchange for promises.

you're probably right about what kim jong-il thinks, at least in spirit if not the details, but the guy is not exactly well known for his solid connection with reality. I believe he has correctly identified the less hawkish candidate-- not exactly an earth-shaking feat of mental agility-- but his "endorsement" doesn't say anything about what kind of leader obama actually is.

Going by stockula's "logic," it would be horrible if a presidential candidate were to be endorsed by a Vietnamese who participated in the mistreatment of American POWs.
