She says she quit porn because of religion, you say it's because it's she's too old or ugly or something. If you want me to take you at your word, maybe you should extend her the same benefit of the doubt here.

Now the scene with the man eating vagina , I'll give you that one . But those are pretty much the sex in the entire book . BTW I love that book & just re-read it recently .

It seems to me that Mrs. Porn-star-come-Christian has been suffering from a severely debilitating disease of character known as "restless shovel syndrome". Unable to satisfy her abnormal cravings, she's moved from shoveling huge amounts of cock into her orifices to shoveling huge amounts of cocaine into them (how else did her nose get the Jacksonesqe look?). The inevitable progression of this syndrome is to become a born-again Jesus freak or to die a burned-out, disease ridden crack whore. The way I see it, those who use porn are reducing the burden placed upon an unhealthy society (the opposite of tobacco use and alcohol abuse). Therefore, I move that a proposition be placed upon the California ballot to incur not a penalty, but rather a tax credit for those who support the industry. It will be the perfect move to counter the bill in the state assembly... Yes on Proposition 69!

I did a bit of research, and it turns out that I was wrong. She didn't quit the industry because of her appearance.
But neither did she quit because she had found religion. She quit because she contracted genital herpes.
The sequence is unclear in the Wiki article about her, and she glosses over it on her web site. But the article about her in Las Vegas City Life clarifies the timeline.
She caught incurable herpes, which ended the porn career. Then she tried to commit suicide. After that she entered a treatment program, where she "found God." As this occurred after herpes had ended her porn career, I think it's safe to say it wasn't the reason she quit.

It's sad.
